Image Credit: ISIS Investigations Warren County, New York, the ISIS Paranormal Investigations team conducted an investigation in Warren County New York in a private home after being contacted by an individual reporting paranormal events and experiences. The client desires an anonymous status, so we will herein refer to the 36 year-old female we interviewed as Karen, to her 34 year-old husband as Jacob, her 16 year-old son as Keith, and her 11 year-old daughter as Kayla.
[b]Interview[/b]
Paranormal experiences at the location are varied and have occurred for at least the past three years. Karen reports that she was pushed down the stairs by an unseen force and the event resulted in a broken wrist. Karen also explained that her son Keith has been attacked in his bedroom where he felt something sit on his chest. She further complained about unexplained feelings of dread and unexplained feelings of aggression. Other experiences include hearing talking and yelling from an unknown origin as well as tapping and banging that cannot be explained from mundane sources. Karen’s son has also complained of smelling sulphur and sometimes the unexplained smell of “rotting, nasty, stomach turning odors” are detected.
Additional complaints include voice phenomena: on one occurrence, Karen was taking a short nap during the day before her children were due home from school. While lying in the upstairs bedroom Karen heard someone coming up the stairs and saying “Shhhhhhhhhhhh” and believed that it was her children joking around with her and getting ready to creep up on her to startle her. Suddenly, she heard the words “Mama,” coming from the foot of her bed. She opened her eyes and found nothing there. She then got out of the bed and checked the entire house and there was no one in the home. She noted the time on the clock and realized that there was still a full ten minutes before the children’s school bus was scheduled to arrive.
Karen explained that the disembodied voice that she heard was that of a female, possibly a very young girl: “it could have been a little boy, but it was very high pitched.” Karen has also heard tapping coming from upstairs as well which sounds like Morse code for “S.O.S” and this only occurs when Karen is alone in the home.
The family has resided in the old farm house consisting of thirteen rooms for about seven years and Karen believes that there have been numerous owners of the location, but remains unsure about how many prior owners there are of the home in question. According to Karen, the home was built around the year 1810, and she believes that one of the former owners of the home was buried in a cemetery just a short distance from the home. She does not have any documentation to support the argument, but believes it to be possible. Karen and Jacob have not done a title search on the home and the couple has not researched the history of the land where the home is situated. Karen also asserts the possibility that the spirit activity followed them to the home from a former location.
The home has undergone recent renovations in the upstairs of the location and ongoing renovations continue. No clergy have been contacted in regard to the events occurring at the location, and the house has never been blessed other than self attempts to bless the house which were made by Karen. When asked how Karen blessed the home she explained that she used a combination of sage as well as holy oil to bless the home, and that the activity stopped for a short period only to restart once more. Karen asserts that she is a dedicated, presently practicing Catholic despite the fact that she maintains a strong interest in the occult. She has a special affinity for the Holy Mother and was raised as a Catholic.
Karen maintains a strong interest in paranormal subjects and sometimes watches paranormal television shows. She asserts that she watches paranormal television for “entertainment purposes only,” but that she has no interest in any kind of books on the paranormal. Karen has, in the past, researched the paranormal on the Internet in her effort to determine what was going on in the home: subjects of research included demons and how they might affect the lives of people affected by them as well as how to get rid of demonic entities.
Karen has used an Ouija Board at the location and reports receiving very aggressive, nasty statements from the board. She asserts establishing a circle of protection before using the board and that no one was hurt during the session. She had no desire to repeat the specific statements made, only to say that the board's responses were heavily filled with swearing and statements of aggression.
Karen believes that she has some psychic abilities including clairvoyance and clairsentience. She has never been officially tested for psychic abilities however. She does not report finding unusual objects in the home or during the process of renovations, and she does not report owning any antiques. She also has not experienced memory loss or any kind of lost sense of time.
Her children sleep walk on occasion, but no one in the home has any kind of sleep disorders. Karen reports experiencing paralysis: “I woke up, I was on my stomach, and I couldn’t move. It happened twice within like three months.” Karen reports having nightmares on occasion and the nightmares are extremely violent. Her son Keith also experiences violent nightmares roughly once a month and Keith has also had night terrors: “he tries to crawl under his bed, screaming and hollering.”
Karen reports seeing the apparition of a four year-old little girl wearing a cut-down dress. The dress almost seemed too big for the girl; she had red hair and braids and she was carrying firewood in the home. Karen describes the apparition as blue and hazy looking. Karen stood there in shock as she watched the girl turn, fade out, and disappear and she asserts that the incident lasted roughly 20 seconds.
Karen has two cats that are affected by the activity in the home. The animals follow something unseen with their eyes, and they jump up in a start for no reason at all. Karen’s son has heard his name called out by a voice that sounded like his mother, when his mother did not call him. He also reports hearing something rolling around in the parent’s bed upstairs, but there was nothing in the room at the time the incident occurred.
Karen reports receiving static phone calls with no one on the other end: these calls occur on a frequent basis. She also reports experiencing dramatic temperature changes in the home without any kind of explanation: extreme hot and cold fluctuations are sometimes detected. Further, Karen complains of being touched by an unseen force: in addition to the incident where she was pushed down the stairs by something she could not see, she, in a separate incident, also felt something touching her body. Meanwhile, Kayla once reported to her mother that she felt “hands on her feet,” and Keith has felt “hands holding him down by his shoulders.”
Everyone in the home is in good general health, and no one is taking any kind of medications, over-the-counter or prescribed, that might otherwise serve as an explanation for some of the experiences the family has had. Karen asserts feeling exhausted and often tired without explanation however. Karen reports no issues with undue stress, she does not use herbal remedies and she and her family have not, at any time, experimented with any kind of herbal remedies.
[b]Witness Accounts of Paranormal Events[/b]
Karen has talked to previous owners of the home, and she asserts that they believe her statements about the ongoing paranormal activity in the home. One of Karen’s friends, “Tina” has been in the home and heard running up and down the upstairs hallway when no one was upstairs. According to reports, the sounds emanating from upstairs sounded like “little kids” running back and forth when no children are in the home.
During one incident when Karen and Jacob were home, a loud banging occurred at the front door of the home. Thinking it was an emergency, Jacob ran downstairs to see who was at the front door. No one was there.
When asked what Karen believes is happening in the home, she asserted the following: “I think it’s a combination of things. I think there were some things here before we arrived, and there were some satanic rituals back in the eighties that occurred here.” When asked if she knew that there were rituals at the location for certain, she confirmed her certainty, and that the incidents were widely known.

Our property records search reveals that the farm house was originally built in 1900. The home is located in Warren County, New York, which is a county that was officially named after Joseph Warren, a soldier that died in the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War. Warren County was, at one time, part of Albany County, then later Washington County, and was changed to Warren County in 1813. The present towns making up Warren County include Bolton, Chester, Glens Falls, Hague, Horicon, Johnsburg, Lake George, Lake George Village, Lake Luzerne, Queensbury, Stony Creek, Thruman, and Warrensburg.
We are limiting the historical information about this destination due to the client’s desire to remain anonymous. We can say that the location is not far from a cemetery which holds the remains of a family that is the third generation relatives of some of the original settlers in Warren County. One of the people buried in the cemetery did have an original occupation as a farmer, and the client believes that it is this farmer that at one time owned the location where she now resides.
We can also say that this destination is in close proximity to a large body of water which might offer some explanation in terms of the paranormal activities reported. Although the client asserts former satanic activity at the location, the ISIS team has not located any type of information that can either confirm or deny the claim made.
Note: None of our investigators are given any kind of history about the location before they conduct the investigation. The only people that know about the events in the home are the two team co-founders and the home owner. All other investigators are not offered information in order to keep them from formulating preconceived notions about the case.
[b]Paranormal Photographic Captures[/b]
The photographic captures in this case are extremely limited. We have one shot with a large orb in the kitchen of the location, and another shot of the client's cat, just after it was chasing something unseen. An orb is to the left of the animal. We have, however, included all of the psychic sketch work offered by Angela Kaufman and one sketch from our junior investigator.
[b]Paranormal Video Footage:[/b]
No positive video footage was captured at the location.
[b]Paranormal EVPs Readings:[/b]
More than fifteen positive EVP samples have been captured from the location. Male, female, and childlike voices are present, and classifications range from A to C.
[b]Paranormal EMF Readings:[/b]
At 9:40 am: an audible EMF is detected in the living room of the home using equipment that converts EMF waves to sound. No other EMF readings were detected.
[b]Paranormal Temperature Fluctuations
[/b]
At 8:45 am, the base temperature reading in the dining room of the location was recorded at 72.8 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:30 am, a temperature fluctuation was detected in the dining room from base temperature to 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
The living room base reading was 63.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:45 a temperature fluctuation in the corner of the living room: the temp drops from 65.2 to 62.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature then momentarily dropped to 59.9 Fahrenheit in the same location.
At 10:42 am: Upon entering the second floor, a temperature fluctuation is noted from 77 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 10:50 am, while in the upstairs office, the room grew increasingly hot despite the constant temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
[b]Dowsing Rods[/b]
At 9:10 am: Justyn Staley notes that the dowsing rods rapidly split apart in the basement of the location.
At 9:35: am, Justyn notes that the dowsing rods crossed when in the living room of the location. Six minutes later, Patricia used dowsing rods in the same location and they begin to spin around rapidly in a widdershins direction.
At 10:28: Justyn’s dowsing rods begin spinning in the same area where EVPs were being conducted. We have a positive EVP in the attic which corresponds with this incident.
At 10:46 am: While in the spare room located in the upstairs of the location, the dowsing rods split apart when positioned over the spare bed.
At 10:44 am: Patricia’s dowsing rods begin to spin widdershins in the daughter’s bedroom of the home. At 10:55 am, the same reaction occurs in the home office on the second floor of the home.
[b]Pendulum Readings[/b]
At 8:45 am: Pendulum begins spinning widdershins outside in the front yard of the location.
At 8:59 am: Pendulum used in the basement area: it made small circles in the furthest right corner near the wood pile location.
At 8:50 am: the Pendulum begins spinning widdershins outside in the front yard of the location near the shed.
At 9:22 am: Angela got a deosil pendulum response which pulled her toward the direction of the basement and stopped.
At 9:24 am: Angela got a widdershins response from the pendulum while in the dining room of the location.
At 9:33 am: the pendulum swings widdershins by the dining room door.
At 10:26 am: the pendulum begins spinning deosil in the laundry room.
[b]Psychic Impressions and Artistry[/b]
At 9:13 am: while conducting EVPs by the shed outdoors, Angela sketch the image of a “dark image” of a “male entity” that she sensed at the location. Two minutes later she sense an “image of a man in a rocker on the porch, but the porch she envisioned looked different from the one presently on the home.
At 9:21 am: Justyn Staley notes an oppressive, heavy feeling in the air upon entering the dining room of the home.
At 9:02 am: Angela sensed farm hands that once worked at the location in the basement area.
At 9:25 am: Angela sensed and sketched a female entity in the home and felt that she was a schoolteacher.
At 9:30 am: Justyn Staley notes: “The feeling that an entity is fleeing the room.”
At 9:31 am: Angela asked the spirits “show me how you died” mentally: she notes “saw a vision of a man in an accident with equipment near the shed.”
At 9:35 am: Angela feels a cold spot at the back of her head while in the living room despite the room temperature reading of 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:38 am: Angela sensed and sketched “a man with a young female child” in the same corner of the living room where Pat’s dowsing rods began to spin rapidly.
At 9:43 am: Angela sensed and sketched an older woman with wavy, curly hair and then she sensed an angry man with black hair that was partially graying.
At 10:04 am: Justyn Staley notes having camera difficulties and writes “camera malfunction” in his notes.
At 10:06 am: Angela was sitting on the couch of the location sketching when she heard a creaking of the floor behind her: no one was there.
At 10:15 am: Angela sensed and sketched the images of a “woman canning vegetables or something in the laundry room area of the home. Her notes read: “1930s or 40s looking woman.”
At 10:10 am: Patricia notes feeling a “push behind her knees” in the living room of the location. After leaving the living room, she briefly enters the kitchen where she feels something touch her on the left side of her neck.
At 10:25 am: Angela notes: “I heard tapping on the roof when we started to do EVPs in the attic. I briefly saw a male entity sweep between me and Justyn like it wanted to push him down the stairs. I got a sense of younger children or mischievous teens.”’
At 10:31 am: while upstairs in the home, Angela sensed and sketched an individual with “long straight blonde hair – more recent times.” Shortly thereafter, she notes that she felt something crawling on her right arm but that there was nothing there. This sensation continued, and she began to experience “pinching on the legs as well.
At 10:50 am: Justyn notes; “the boy’s bedroom on the end of the hallway on the left feels visited often. Five minutes later he writes: “EVPs are being conducted and something is getting very aggravated at this and our presence.” Later, during our interview with the client, strange activity began to intensify. During our extensive interview with the client, moments after she revealed that she often heard footsteps upstairs, our team members heard “thumping” upstairs in the location coming from an unknown origin. This incident repeated four times during the course of the interview, and at one point our investigators heard the sound of a door opening without explanation. We also heard running back and forth upstairs, as if one or more children were running through the upstairs of the home. Banging intensified as our team set up our tools to conduct a clearing in the home.
At 11:00 am: Angela sensed and sketch a male entity sitting on a rock next to a small bicycle. No further notations accompany the image. At 11:00 am, Angela heard a doorbell ring, but the homeowner reports not having one.
Another investigator sketched the image of a young girl, a long dress, and a young boy. These images correspond with some of the sightings the client has had at the location.
[b]Other Unexplained Events Reported by Investigators:[/b]
When our team headed out to the Warren County home, we used a GPS for guidance. Following the instructions of the GPS perfectly, we proceeded just past the home we were expected to investigate. When the GPS announced “you have reached your destination,” we were positioned beside an old cemetery and not the home of the client. Later the client would reveal that she believes one of the former home owners is buried at the location we saw upon our arrival.
We conducted a clearing in the location upon the request of the client. During the process of the clearing the door in the living room started making banging noises as if something was trying to force the door open.
[b]Issues with Equipment
[/b]
At 9:01 am: There were new batteries inside one of our digital cameras, and the camera still fails to operate.
At 9:02 am: Digital recorder will not operate, at least at first, to conduct EVPs in the basement of the home.
Conclusions: Haunted.
Despite the absence of any extensive photographic or video evidence, with the numerous EVPs, client reports and our own experiences at the location, we feel safe in concluding that this location is haunted. We conducted a clearing upon the request of the client and have not received any reports pertaining to continued activity. We will remain in touch with the client to determine if further assistance is required.

At 9:35: am, Justyn notes that the dowsing rods crossed when in the living room of the location. Six minutes later, Patricia used dowsing rods in the same location and they begin to spin around rapidly in a widdershins direction.
At 10:28: Justyn’s dowsing rods begin spinning in the same area where EVPs were being conducted. We have a positive EVP in the attic which corresponds with this incident.
At 10:46 am: While in the spare room located in the upstairs of the location, the dowsing rods split apart when positioned over the spare bed.
At 10:44 am: Patricia’s dowsing rods begin to spin widdershins in the daughter’s bedroom of the home. At 10:55 am, the same reaction occurs in the home office on the second floor of the home.

At 8:45 am: Pendulum begins spinning widdershins outside in the front yard of the location.
At 8:59 am: Pendulum used in the basement area: it made small circles in the furthest right corner near the wood pile location.
At 8:50 am: the Pendulum begins spinning widdershins outside in the front yard of the location near the shed.
At 9:22 am: Angela got a deosil pendulum response which pulled her toward the direction of the basement and stopped.
At 9:24 am: Angela got a widdershins response from the pendulum while in the dining room of the location.
At 9:33 am: the pendulum swings widdershins by the dining room door.
At 10:26 am: the pendulum begins spinning deosil in the laundry room.

At 9:13 am: while conducting EVPs by the shed outdoors, Angela sketch the image of a “dark image” of a “male entity” that she sensed at the location. Two minutes later she sense an “image of a man in a rocker on the porch, but the porch she envisioned looked different from the one presently on the home.
At 9:21 am: Justyn Staley notes an oppressive, heavy feeling in the air upon entering the dining room of the home.
At 9:02 am: Angela sensed farm hands that once worked at the location in the basement area.
At 9:25 am: Angela sensed and sketched a female entity in the home and felt that she was a schoolteacher.
At 9:30 am: Justyn Staley notes: “The feeling that an entity is fleeing the room.”
At 9:31 am: Angela asked the spirits “show me how you died” mentally: she notes “saw a vision of a man in an accident with equipment near the shed.”
At 9:35 am: Angela feels a cold spot at the back of her head while in the living room despite the room temperature reading of 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:38 am: Angela sensed and sketched “a man with a young female child” in the same corner of the living room where Pat’s dowsing rods began to spin rapidly.
At 9:43 am: Angela sensed and sketched an older woman with wavy, curly hair and then she sensed an angry man with black hair that was partially graying.
At 10:04 am: Justyn Staley notes having camera difficulties and writes “camera malfunction” in his notes.
At 10:06 am: Angela was sitting on the couch of the location sketching when she heard a creaking of the floor behind her: no one was there.
At 10:15 am: Angela sensed and sketched the images of a “woman canning vegetables or something in the laundry room area of the home. Her notes read: “1930s or 40s looking woman.”
At 10:10 am: Patricia notes feeling a “push behind her knees” in the living room of the location. After leaving the living room, she briefly enters the kitchen where she feels something touch her on the left side of her neck.
At 10:25 am: Angela notes: “I heard tapping on the roof when we started to do EVPs in the attic. I briefly saw a male entity sweep between me and Justyn like it wanted to push him down the stairs. I got a sense of younger children or mischievous teens.”’
At 10:31 am: while upstairs in the home, Angela sensed and sketched an individual with “long straight blonde hair – more recent times.” Shortly thereafter, she notes that she felt something crawling on her right arm but that there was nothing there. This sensation continued, and she began to experience “pinching on the legs as well.
At 10:50 am: Justyn notes; “the boy’s bedroom on the end of the hallway on the left feels visited often. Five minutes later he writes: “EVPs are being conducted and something is getting very aggravated at this and our presence.” Later, during our interview with the client, strange activity began to intensify. During our extensive interview with the client, moments after she revealed that she often heard footsteps upstairs, our team members heard “thumping” upstairs in the location coming from an unknown origin. This incident repeated four times during the course of the interview, and at one point our investigators heard the sound of a door opening without explanation. We also heard running back and forth upstairs, as if one or more children were running through the upstairs of the home. Banging intensified as our team set up our tools to conduct a clearing in the home.
At 11:00 am: Angela sensed and sketch a male entity sitting on a rock next to a small bicycle. No further notations accompany the image. At 11:00 am, Angela heard a doorbell ring, but the homeowner reports not having one.
Another investigator sketched the image of a young girl, a long dress, and a young boy. These images correspond with some of the sightings the client has had at the location.
[b]Other Unexplained Events Reported by Investigators:[/b]
When our team headed out to the Warren County home, we used a GPS for guidance. Following the instructions of the GPS perfectly, we proceeded just past the home we were expected to investigate. When the GPS announced “you have reached your destination,” we were positioned beside an old cemetery and not the home of the client. Later the client would reveal that she believes one of the former home owners is buried at the location we saw upon our arrival.
We conducted a clearing in the location upon the request of the client. During the process of the clearing the door in the living room started making banging noises as if something was trying to force the door open.
[b]Issues with Equipment
[/b]
At 9:01 am: There were new batteries inside one of our digital cameras, and the camera still fails to operate.
At 9:02 am: Digital recorder will not operate, at least at first, to conduct EVPs in the basement of the home.
Conclusions: Haunted.
Despite the absence of any extensive photographic or video evidence, with the numerous EVPs, client reports and our own experiences at the location, we feel safe in concluding that this location is haunted. We conducted a clearing upon the request of the client and have not received any reports pertaining to continued activity. We will remain in touch with the client to determine if further assistance is required.

ISIS investigates Warren County

Image Credit: ISIS Investigations Warren County, New York, the ISIS Paranormal Investigations team conducted an investigation in Warren County New York in a private home after being contacted by an individual reporting paranormal events and experiences. The client desires an anonymous status, so we will herein refer to the 36 year-old female we interviewed as Karen, to her 34 year-old husband as Jacob, her 16 year-old son as Keith, and her 11 year-old daughter as Kayla.
[b]Interview[/b]
Paranormal experiences at the location are varied and have occurred for at least the past three years. Karen reports that she was pushed down the stairs by an unseen force and the event resulted in a broken wrist. Karen also explained that her son Keith has been attacked in his bedroom where he felt something sit on his chest. She further complained about unexplained feelings of dread and unexplained feelings of aggression. Other experiences include hearing talking and yelling from an unknown origin as well as tapping and banging that cannot be explained from mundane sources. Karen’s son has also complained of smelling sulphur and sometimes the unexplained smell of “rotting, nasty, stomach turning odors” are detected.
Additional complaints include voice phenomena: on one occurrence, Karen was taking a short nap during the day before her children were due home from school. While lying in the upstairs bedroom Karen heard someone coming up the stairs and saying “Shhhhhhhhhhhh” and believed that it was her children joking around with her and getting ready to creep up on her to startle her. Suddenly, she heard the words “Mama,” coming from the foot of her bed. She opened her eyes and found nothing there. She then got out of the bed and checked the entire house and there was no one in the home. She noted the time on the clock and realized that there was still a full ten minutes before the children’s school bus was scheduled to arrive.
Karen explained that the disembodied voice that she heard was that of a female, possibly a very young girl: “it could have been a little boy, but it was very high pitched.” Karen has also heard tapping coming from upstairs as well which sounds like Morse code for “S.O.S” and this only occurs when Karen is alone in the home.
The family has resided in the old farm house consisting of thirteen rooms for about seven years and Karen believes that there have been numerous owners of the location, but remains unsure about how many prior owners there are of the home in question. According to Karen, the home was built around the year 1810, and she believes that one of the former owners of the home was buried in a cemetery just a short distance from the home. She does not have any documentation to support the argument, but believes it to be possible. Karen and Jacob have not done a title search on the home and the couple has not researched the history of the land where the home is situated. Karen also asserts the possibility that the spirit activity followed them to the home from a former location.
The home has undergone recent renovations in the upstairs of the location and ongoing renovations continue. No clergy have been contacted in regard to the events occurring at the location, and the house has never been blessed other than self attempts to bless the house which were made by Karen. When asked how Karen blessed the home she explained that she used a combination of sage as well as holy oil to bless the home, and that the activity stopped for a short period only to restart once more. Karen asserts that she is a dedicated, presently practicing Catholic despite the fact that she maintains a strong interest in the occult. She has a special affinity for the Holy Mother and was raised as a Catholic.
Karen maintains a strong interest in paranormal subjects and sometimes watches paranormal television shows. She asserts that she watches paranormal television for “entertainment purposes only,” but that she has no interest in any kind of books on the paranormal. Karen has, in the past, researched the paranormal on the Internet in her effort to determine what was going on in the home: subjects of research included demons and how they might affect the lives of people affected by them as well as how to get rid of demonic entities.
Karen has used an Ouija Board at the location and reports receiving very aggressive, nasty statements from the board. She asserts establishing a circle of protection before using the board and that no one was hurt during the session. She had no desire to repeat the specific statements made, only to say that the board's responses were heavily filled with swearing and statements of aggression.
Karen believes that she has some psychic abilities including clairvoyance and clairsentience. She has never been officially tested for psychic abilities however. She does not report finding unusual objects in the home or during the process of renovations, and she does not report owning any antiques. She also has not experienced memory loss or any kind of lost sense of time.
Her children sleep walk on occasion, but no one in the home has any kind of sleep disorders. Karen reports experiencing paralysis: “I woke up, I was on my stomach, and I couldn’t move. It happened twice within like three months.” Karen reports having nightmares on occasion and the nightmares are extremely violent. Her son Keith also experiences violent nightmares roughly once a month and Keith has also had night terrors: “he tries to crawl under his bed, screaming and hollering.”
Karen reports seeing the apparition of a four year-old little girl wearing a cut-down dress. The dress almost seemed too big for the girl; she had red hair and braids and she was carrying firewood in the home. Karen describes the apparition as blue and hazy looking. Karen stood there in shock as she watched the girl turn, fade out, and disappear and she asserts that the incident lasted roughly 20 seconds.
Karen has two cats that are affected by the activity in the home. The animals follow something unseen with their eyes, and they jump up in a start for no reason at all. Karen’s son has heard his name called out by a voice that sounded like his mother, when his mother did not call him. He also reports hearing something rolling around in the parent’s bed upstairs, but there was nothing in the room at the time the incident occurred.
Karen reports receiving static phone calls with no one on the other end: these calls occur on a frequent basis. She also reports experiencing dramatic temperature changes in the home without any kind of explanation: extreme hot and cold fluctuations are sometimes detected. Further, Karen complains of being touched by an unseen force: in addition to the incident where she was pushed down the stairs by something she could not see, she, in a separate incident, also felt something touching her body. Meanwhile, Kayla once reported to her mother that she felt “hands on her feet,” and Keith has felt “hands holding him down by his shoulders.”
Everyone in the home is in good general health, and no one is taking any kind of medications, over-the-counter or prescribed, that might otherwise serve as an explanation for some of the experiences the family has had. Karen asserts feeling exhausted and often tired without explanation however. Karen reports no issues with undue stress, she does not use herbal remedies and she and her family have not, at any time, experimented with any kind of herbal remedies.
[b]Witness Accounts of Paranormal Events[/b]
Karen has talked to previous owners of the home, and she asserts that they believe her statements about the ongoing paranormal activity in the home. One of Karen’s friends, “Tina” has been in the home and heard running up and down the upstairs hallway when no one was upstairs. According to reports, the sounds emanating from upstairs sounded like “little kids” running back and forth when no children are in the home.
During one incident when Karen and Jacob were home, a loud banging occurred at the front door of the home. Thinking it was an emergency, Jacob ran downstairs to see who was at the front door. No one was there.
When asked what Karen believes is happening in the home, she asserted the following: “I think it’s a combination of things. I think there were some things here before we arrived, and there were some satanic rituals back in the eighties that occurred here.” When asked if she knew that there were rituals at the location for certain, she confirmed her certainty, and that the incidents were widely known.

Our property records search reveals that the farm house was originally built in 1900. The home is located in Warren County, New York, which is a county that was officially named after Joseph Warren, a soldier that died in the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War. Warren County was, at one time, part of Albany County, then later Washington County, and was changed to Warren County in 1813. The present towns making up Warren County include Bolton, Chester, Glens Falls, Hague, Horicon, Johnsburg, Lake George, Lake George Village, Lake Luzerne, Queensbury, Stony Creek, Thruman, and Warrensburg.
We are limiting the historical information about this destination due to the client’s desire to remain anonymous. We can say that the location is not far from a cemetery which holds the remains of a family that is the third generation relatives of some of the original settlers in Warren County. One of the people buried in the cemetery did have an original occupation as a farmer, and the client believes that it is this farmer that at one time owned the location where she now resides.
We can also say that this destination is in close proximity to a large body of water which might offer some explanation in terms of the paranormal activities reported. Although the client asserts former satanic activity at the location, the ISIS team has not located any type of information that can either confirm or deny the claim made.
Note: None of our investigators are given any kind of history about the location before they conduct the investigation. The only people that know about the events in the home are the two team co-founders and the home owner. All other investigators are not offered information in order to keep them from formulating preconceived notions about the case.
[b]Paranormal Photographic Captures[/b]
The photographic captures in this case are extremely limited. We have one shot with a large orb in the kitchen of the location, and another shot of the client's cat, just after it was chasing something unseen. An orb is to the left of the animal. We have, however, included all of the psychic sketch work offered by Angela Kaufman and one sketch from our junior investigator.
[b]Paranormal Video Footage:[/b]
No positive video footage was captured at the location.
[b]Paranormal EVPs Readings:[/b]
More than fifteen positive EVP samples have been captured from the location. Male, female, and childlike voices are present, and classifications range from A to C.
[b]Paranormal EMF Readings:[/b]
At 9:40 am: an audible EMF is detected in the living room of the home using equipment that converts EMF waves to sound. No other EMF readings were detected.
[b]Paranormal Temperature Fluctuations
[/b]
At 8:45 am, the base temperature reading in the dining room of the location was recorded at 72.8 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:30 am, a temperature fluctuation was detected in the dining room from base temperature to 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
The living room base reading was 63.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:45 a temperature fluctuation in the corner of the living room: the temp drops from 65.2 to 62.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature then momentarily dropped to 59.9 Fahrenheit in the same location.
At 10:42 am: Upon entering the second floor, a temperature fluctuation is noted from 77 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit.

She asserts that she watches paranormal television for “entertainment purposes only,” but that she has no interest in any kind of books on the paranormal. Karen has, in the past, researched the paranormal on the Internet in her effort to determine what was going on in the home: subjects of research included demons and how they might affect the lives of people affected by them as well as how to get rid of demonic entities.
Karen has used an Ouija Board at the location and reports receiving very aggressive, nasty statements from the board. She asserts establishing a circle of protection before using the board and that no one was hurt during the session. She had no desire to repeat the specific statements made, only to say that the board's responses were heavily filled with swearing and statements of aggression.
Karen believes that she has some psychic abilities including clairvoyance and clairsentience. She has never been officially tested for psychic abilities however. She does not report finding unusual objects in the home or during the process of renovations, and she does not report owning any antiques. She also has not experienced memory loss or any kind of lost sense of time.
Her children sleep walk on occasion, but no one in the home has any kind of sleep disorders. Karen reports experiencing paralysis: “I woke up, I was on my stomach, and I couldn’t move. It happened twice within like three months.” Karen reports having nightmares on occasion and the nightmares are extremely violent. Her son Keith also experiences violent nightmares roughly once a month and Keith has also had night terrors: “he tries to crawl under his bed, screaming and hollering.”
Karen reports seeing the apparition of a four year-old little girl wearing a cut-down dress. The dress almost seemed too big for the girl; she had red hair and braids and she was carrying firewood in the home. Karen describes the apparition as blue and hazy looking. Karen stood there in shock as she watched the girl turn, fade out, and disappear and she asserts that the incident lasted roughly 20 seconds.
Karen has two cats that are affected by the activity in the home. The animals follow something unseen with their eyes, and they jump up in a start for no reason at all. Karen’s son has heard his name called out by a voice that sounded like his mother, when his mother did not call him. He also reports hearing something rolling around in the parent’s bed upstairs, but there was nothing in the room at the time the incident occurred.
Karen reports receiving static phone calls with no one on the other end: these calls occur on a frequent basis. She also reports experiencing dramatic temperature changes in the home without any kind of explanation: extreme hot and cold fluctuations are sometimes detected. Further, Karen complains of being touched by an unseen force: in addition to the incident where she was pushed down the stairs by something she could not see, she, in a separate incident, also felt something touching her body. Meanwhile, Kayla once reported to her mother that she felt “hands on her feet,” and Keith has felt “hands holding him down by his shoulders.”
Everyone in the home is in good general health, and no one is taking any kind of medications, over-the-counter or prescribed, that might otherwise serve as an explanation for some of the experiences the family has had. Karen asserts feeling exhausted and often tired without explanation however. Karen reports no issues with undue stress, she does not use herbal remedies and she and her family have not, at any time, experimented with any kind of herbal remedies.
[b]Witness Accounts of Paranormal Events[/b]
Karen has talked to previous owners of the home, and she asserts that they believe her statements about the ongoing paranormal activity in the home. One of Karen’s friends, “Tina” has been in the home and heard running up and down the upstairs hallway when no one was upstairs. According to reports, the sounds emanating from upstairs sounded like “little kids” running back and forth when no children are in the home.
During one incident when Karen and Jacob were home, a loud banging occurred at the front door of the home. Thinking it was an emergency, Jacob ran downstairs to see who was at the front door. No one was there.
When asked what Karen believes is happening in the home, she asserted the following: “I think it’s a combination of things. I think there were some things here before we arrived, and there were some satanic rituals back in the eighties that occurred here.” When asked if she knew that there were rituals at the location for certain, she confirmed her certainty, and that the incidents were widely known.

[b]History of the Location:

Our property records search reveals that the farm house was originally built in 1900. The home is located in Warren County, New York, which is a county that was officially named after Joseph Warren, a soldier that died in the Battle of Bunker Hill during the Revolutionary War. Warren County was, at one time, part of Albany County, then later Washington County, and was changed to Warren County in 1813. The present towns making up Warren County include Bolton, Chester, Glens Falls, Hague, Horicon, Johnsburg, Lake George, Lake George Village, Lake Luzerne, Queensbury, Stony Creek, Thruman, and Warrensburg.
We are limiting the historical information about this destination due to the client’s desire to remain anonymous. We can say that the location is not far from a cemetery which holds the remains of a family that is the third generation relatives of some of the original settlers in Warren County. One of the people buried in the cemetery did have an original occupation as a farmer, and the client believes that it is this farmer that at one time owned the location where she now resides.
We can also say that this destination is in close proximity to a large body of water which might offer some explanation in terms of the paranormal activities reported. Although the client asserts former satanic activity at the location, the ISIS team has not located any type of information that can either confirm or deny the claim made.
Note: None of our investigators are given any kind of history about the location before they conduct the investigation. The only people that know about the events in the home are the two team co-founders and the home owner. All other investigators are not offered information in order to keep them from formulating preconceived notions about the case.
[b]Paranormal Photographic Captures[/b]
The photographic captures in this case are extremely limited. We have one shot with a large orb in the kitchen of the location, and another shot of the client's cat, just after it was chasing something unseen. An orb is to the left of the animal. We have, however, included all of the psychic sketch work offered by Angela Kaufman and one sketch from our junior investigator.
[b]Paranormal Video Footage:[/b]
No positive video footage was captured at the location.
[b]Paranormal EVPs Readings:[/b]
More than fifteen positive EVP samples have been captured from the location. Male, female, and childlike voices are present, and classifications range from A to C.
[b]Paranormal EMF Readings:[/b]
At 9:40 am: an audible EMF is detected in the living room of the home using equipment that converts EMF waves to sound. No other EMF readings were detected.
[b]Paranormal Temperature Fluctuations
[/b]
At 8:45 am, the base temperature reading in the dining room of the location was recorded at 72.8 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:30 am, a temperature fluctuation was detected in the dining room from base temperature to 84 degrees Fahrenheit.
The living room base reading was 63.5 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:45 a temperature fluctuation in the corner of the living room: the temp drops from 65.2 to 62.4 degrees Fahrenheit. The temperature then momentarily dropped to 59.9 Fahrenheit in the same location.
At 10:42 am: Upon entering the second floor, a temperature fluctuation is noted from 77 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 10:50 am, while in the upstairs office, the room grew increasingly hot despite the constant temperature of 79 degrees Fahrenheit.
[b]Dowsing Rods[/b]
At 9:10 am: Justyn Staley notes that the dowsing rods rapidly split apart in the basement of the location.
At 9:35: am, Justyn notes that the dowsing rods crossed when in the living room of the location. Six minutes later, Patricia used dowsing rods in the same location and they begin to spin around rapidly in a widdershins direction.
At 10:28: Justyn’s dowsing rods begin spinning in the same area where EVPs were being conducted. We have a positive EVP in the attic which corresponds with this incident.
At 10:46 am: While in the spare room located in the upstairs of the location, the dowsing rods split apart when positioned over the spare bed.
At 10:44 am: Patricia’s dowsing rods begin to spin widdershins in the daughter’s bedroom of the home. At 10:55 am, the same reaction occurs in the home office on the second floor of the home.
[b]Pendulum Readings[/b]
At 8:45 am: Pendulum begins spinning widdershins outside in the front yard of the location.
At 8:59 am: Pendulum used in the basement area: it made small circles in the furthest right corner near the wood pile location.
At 8:50 am: the Pendulum begins spinning widdershins outside in the front yard of the location near the shed.
At 9:22 am: Angela got a deosil pendulum response which pulled her toward the direction of the basement and stopped.
At 9:24 am: Angela got a widdershins response from the pendulum while in the dining room of the location.
At 9:33 am: the pendulum swings widdershins by the dining room door.
At 10:26 am: the pendulum begins spinning deosil in the laundry room.
[b]Psychic Impressions and Artistry[/b]
At 9:13 am: while conducting EVPs by the shed outdoors, Angela sketch the image of a “dark image” of a “male entity” that she sensed at the location. Two minutes later she sense an “image of a man in a rocker on the porch, but the porch she envisioned looked different from the one presently on the home.
At 9:21 am: Justyn Staley notes an oppressive, heavy feeling in the air upon entering the dining room of the home.
At 9:02 am: Angela sensed farm hands that once worked at the location in the basement area.
At 9:25 am: Angela sensed and sketched a female entity in the home and felt that she was a schoolteacher.
At 9:30 am: Justyn Staley notes: “The feeling that an entity is fleeing the room.”
At 9:31 am: Angela asked the spirits “show me how you died” mentally: she notes “saw a vision of a man in an accident with equipment near the shed.”
At 9:35 am: Angela feels a cold spot at the back of her head while in the living room despite the room temperature reading of 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
At 9:38 am: Angela sensed and sketched “a man with a young female child” in the same corner of the living room where Pat’s dowsing rods began to spin rapidly.
At 9:43 am: Angela sensed and sketched an older woman with wavy, curly hair and then she sensed an angry man with black hair that was partially graying.
At 10:04 am: Justyn Staley notes having camera difficulties and writes “camera malfunction” in his notes.
At 10:06 am: Angela was sitting on the couch of the location sketching when she heard a creaking of the floor behind her: no one was there.
At 10:15 am: Angela sensed and sketched the images of a “woman canning vegetables or something in the laundry room area of the home. Her notes read: “1930s or 40s looking woman.”
At 10:10 am: Patricia notes feeling a “push behind her knees” in the living room of the location. After leaving the living room, she briefly enters the kitchen where she feels something touch her on the left side of her neck.
At 10:25 am: Angela notes: “I heard tapping on the roof when we started to do EVPs in the attic. I briefly saw a male entity sweep between me and Justyn like it wanted to push him down the stairs. I got a sense of younger children or mischievous teens.”’
At 10:31 am: while upstairs in the home, Angela sensed and sketched an individual with “long straight blonde hair – more recent times.” Shortly thereafter, she notes that she felt something crawling on her right arm but that there was nothing there. This sensation continued, and she began to experience “pinching on the legs as well.
At 10:50 am: Justyn notes; “the boy’s bedroom on the end of the hallway on the left feels visited often. Five minutes later he writes: “EVPs are being conducted and something is getting very aggravated at this and our presence.” Later, during our interview with the client, strange activity began to intensify. During our extensive interview with the client, moments after she revealed that she often heard footsteps upstairs, our team members heard “thumping” upstairs in the location coming from an unknown origin. This incident repeated four times during the course of the interview, and at one point our investigators heard the sound of a door opening without explanation. We also heard running back and forth upstairs, as if one or more children were running through the upstairs of the home. Banging intensified as our team set up our tools to conduct a clearing in the home.
At 11:00 am: Angela sensed and sketch a male entity sitting on a rock next to a small bicycle. No further notations accompany the image. At 11:00 am, Angela heard a doorbell ring, but the homeowner reports not having one.
Another investigator sketched the image of a young girl, a long dress, and a young boy. These images correspond with some of the sightings the client has had at the location.
[b]Other Unexplained Events Reported by Investigators:[/b]
When our team headed out to the Warren County home, we used a GPS for guidance. Following the instructions of the GPS perfectly, we proceeded just past the home we were expected to investigate. When the GPS announced “you have reached your destination,” we were positioned beside an old cemetery and not the home of the client. Later the client would reveal that she believes one of the former home owners is buried at the location we saw upon our arrival.
We conducted a clearing in the location upon the request of the client. During the process of the clearing the door in the living room started making banging noises as if something was trying to force the door open.
[b]Issues with Equipment
[/b]
At 9:01 am: There were new batteries inside one of our digital cameras, and the camera still fails to operate.
At 9:02 am: Digital recorder will not operate, at least at first, to conduct EVPs in the basement of the home.
Conclusions: Haunted.
Despite the absence of any extensive photographic or video evidence, with the numerous EVPs, client reports and our own experiences at the location, we feel safe in concluding that this location is haunted. We conducted a clearing upon the request of the client and have not received any reports pertaining to continued activity. We will remain in touch with the client to determine if further assistance is required.
