Some idle thoughts on hypnotherapy

If, as therapists we can regress a client into a past life, is it not also possible to do future mentoring to our present selves? If we can trace "To Cause" the reason for a physical or psychological ailment by regressing a client, why can't we forward--gress that same person and see what illnesses or traumas are apt to befall them and then stop the problems from developing in the present. So many things in life seem to loose their sting when looked at after a suitable lapse of time. How many of our present problems could be mentored, alleviated or simply banished by having the wisdom of a future vantage point. At some point in our development I think it will be quite common for individuals to receive counseling from themselves in a probable future and the most helpful thing to come out of this will not be any specific wisdom or remedy nor even proof of a future life, the most important thing will simply be the realization and acceptance that a prime goal of humans, be they rich or poor, male or female is simply to grow and increase their awareness. We truly are heliotropic creatures and given a chance we will turn towards the Light.

Once Spiritual Growth is commonly seen as an viable option, and not merely the province of the gifted religious few, then I believe the entire human race will begin to truly "awake". Our accessibility to our rich interior landscape with all of its vast lifetime after lifetime of accumulated wisdom will astound us. We will finally become our own therapists (as we always have been), and perceived dysfunction and illness will begin to fall like leaves in Autumn.

Three Creative Assumptions:

1. Time is not linear, but is a state of mind, a piece of software, if you will, designed for our specific hardware (nervous system). Maybe it is time to update our software, maybe it is time to interject the idea that time is perhaps happening all at once (like a stone dropped into a still pond, the ripples which move out from the center of the contact point might be called "time").

2. We are more than our physical bodies. The anecdotal evidence continues to mount. Near death experiences (NDE's), close calls, surgery, endurance events, out of body experiences (OBE's), astral travel, remote viewing etc.

3. Now this last one is a leap. If all time is simultaneous and we are more than our physical bodies, then just perhaps we are existing everywhere at once and it is only through a selective focus that we seem to be "here". Possibly we fixate in a specific place/time for social reasons; for The Drama.

In order to grow and evolve through learning certain lessons of spirit we appear in time with a specific group of souls. Thus we create and buy into the "reality" of a specific drama in time. And so it is. Like being at a large party, you move around, watch and enjoy the entire pageant and then you see an old friend or someone you think you might like to get to know and you stop and engage them in conversation. At that point "time" becomes fixed, you/him/her become engaged in a personal drama. Something may come of it, you may become friends, or lovers, or you may disengage and move on. But as you move from the general to a specific, all the other possibilities are seemingly eliminated.

Some sources say that every imagining is a specific reality and that as we move through The General we throw off specifics like a pickup driving down a muddy road throws off mud. And each and every particle slung off by our wheels of intention is a world of creative interaction. A world complete with drama and pain and illusions as well as dreams but most of all a world of growing consciousness.

Worlds within worlds and all accessible by us in this present moment through the manipulation of our attention via hypnotherapy. We literally swim in a multitude of probable realities. As a species we are learning to manipulate the exterior world much faster than we are learning to explore our interior world. Where is our screen of icons and our "mouse" with which to manipulate and explore the rich data base which lies within the infinitude of the human mind?

Some would say that through the growing skills of hypnotherapy we are being offered an entire box of new tools with which to manipulate this palate of present moments. I would contend that these tools are very ancient and we are simply being offered yet another opportunity to make use of them. We have all been here before and we are being given yet another chance to try it all again. We truly are heliotropic creatures and given a chance we will turn towards the Light.[!gad]If, as therapists we can regress a client into a past life, is it not also possible to do future mentoring to our present selves? Can i share a little secret? The Akashic records reside in our soul, not anywhere in the universe. If you could see that records, you could see your past, present or your future. You don't have to believe this.
