   Columnist Application

Unexplained Mysteries is always on the look out for new and original material, in particular we are looking for anyone who would be interested in writing a regular column, and having their work published on the site. If you have written articles in the past or have never written one before - we'd still like to hear from you. You can also chose to write about anything that interests you, in particular relating to science, space, the paranormal and the unexplained.

You could for example, decide to write a column about your views on various cryptozoological creatures. You could list what you consider to be the top 10 paranormal events of this year, or perhaps write something about why you think certain photographs are fake or genuine. If you've been to any recent unexplained events, you could write about that too, or if you prefer, you could simply write something on a certain subject that interests you.

Update: The columnist system has recently been updated to provide even more exposure for columnist articles, once you submit a new article in to us we will now feature it on the main front page news aswell as being accessible through our column index archive system. It will even be included in our site's news feed.

The following FAQ will help cover some of the most commonly asked questions regarding site columns.

How do i submit my column articles to the site ?
New articles will be submitted via e-mail, once received we will post your article to your column onsite.

How will my latest articles be seen by visitors ?

When you submit a new article to your column, we will feature it on the main front page news, providing maximum exposure. It will also automatically appear on the 'Latest Articles' box, located at the side of the main page and column sections and will also appear on the column index page. Over time, your articles will also be spidered and will end up listed in Google and other top search engines, ensuring even more views of your work by people all over the world.

How often do i need to submit an article to my column ?
That's entirely up to you ! You could write articles once a week, once a month - or whenever you like. Because you control when you write new articles, you can decide exactly how often you submit new material to your column.

Will I still own my articles, or will you own them ?
The articles in your column will be yours - we will not distribute them to anyone else without your express permission.

Can I submit someone's else's work as my own ?
No - plagiarised articles will be removed.
