I had no time
for the sunrise
All it was
was just a dawn
The chill of the previous night
Grudgingly obliged with a carpet of mist
Takes leave, retreats
as the sun imposes sovereignty
I had no time for the sunset
All it was
was just a dusk
The relentless pounding of warmth
Gratefully recede to reveal a sky of stars
Takes relief, sooths
as the moon imposes
a mystery
I had no time for skies
All it was
was just a sky
sunrise to sunsets
Were always mine to have
For just a moment of my time
I had no more time for time
All it was
was the remainder
of what time
there was still to be had
All i ever needed
to ever to have
was time
till at end of my time
All i ever truly have had
that was mine was
time
