#3 - The Unknown, #4 - Who Will Judge?
For the first time since this blog has taken its new direction , here are two back-to-back poems from my father. The first is quite extroverted, looking at the vastness of the world and insignificance of man. The second is introspective, very personal look into my dad's own perspective as to his poetry, perhaps questioning his insight in writing. I hope you enjoy it
The Unknown
This wide, unknown universe
With neutron stars exploding,
Galaxies imploding...
Man seeks an answer there
Through telescopes imposing.
A driving force pervades,
To seek for knowledge,
Themselves exploring...
Man seeks an answer,
Into the past he delves.
The universe man scans,
Galaxies exploring,
Searching the stars for answers...
Man seeks an answer,
For the reason of his being.
Who Will Judge ?
I write my words in obtuse lines,
(For this is how my thoughts unfold)
And when I later read them,
I wonder what they really mean.
Were they insights?
If so... of what, of whom?
Or were they rambling mouthings
Of things I never knew?
