Snow

Posted by Waspie_Dwarf , in General waffle 24 January 2007 · 122 views

Even though the forecasters predicted snow, I was a little surprised to find a white covering this morning. I live close enough to London that it rarely snows here and even more rarely settles. There was a good 1.5cm on my shed roof.

I packed my camera and walked to my local bit of woodland. If the photographs are any good I will post them here once I get them developed.

It's 13:45 and the last of the snow has melted from my garden now. It was fun while it lasted.

Kent got a great covering of snow last year though, didn't it? (Or rather, last winter)

I was woken up at 5am by my brother who threw an armful of snow at me, had a snowball fight from 9 - 11, and by 12 it had almost completely melted. There could be more on the way though, I suppose.

I'd love to see the pictures. thumbsup.gif

I sometimes think that snow would be a bit more fun if it was warmer.

It would be even more fun if it came in a variety of colours. Wouldn't it be great if, when you woke up in the morning, you didn't know what colour the outside world was going to be?

Thank you for the compliment.

With the death of my digital camera I've had to go back to good old fashioned film. That means not knowing what I've got or being able to delete the bad efforts. We'll see if using digital has improved or worsened my photography when the prints come back tomorrow.
