Though not Christian, I agree with this, for to me it seems ridiculous that such a person never existed. For then now did this religion come into existance. I think most of what we see in the religion is a construct by Peter, though this should not be a surprise as Christ has said to Peter "And upon your rock I will build my church". Though I have some doubt about the convenience of Peter, or Petrus in latin, being the word for rock. Putting aside my known opinions about Egypt and Horus and any "miracles", I believe that a very dynamic and charismatic person has entranced and galvanised a small group of followers to such an extent that they could do no other than continue his mission even after his death. All else that follows is, in my opinion, the work of flawed men who have put their own interpretation on events. It is necessary to look through and beyond all that has been written and said since crucifiction, to see any truth. Have I made sense?
