We can disprove God by referring to fossils demonstrating human evolution. According to the Bible, humans were created the way they are today. However, fossils such as Homo neanderthalensis, Homo heidelbergensis, et alii Homo, Australopithecus, Ardipithecus, Orrorin or Sahelanthropus show that humans evolved from other animals. Also supporting the idea that we evolved from other species is human genetics. For example, humans are over 96% genetically identical to chimpanzees and bonobos.1

Young earth creationists (YECs) believe that the world was created by God in six twenty-four-hour days 5,700-to-10,000 years ago.2 This belief is easily falsifiable.* According to YECs, the world was created by God after the domestication of the dog, the creation of Stonehenge and after the first peoples lived in Mesopotamia, Egypt and Scotland. Dating techniques such as uranium-lead dating say the Earth is 4.55 billion years old.3 Corals gradually deposit to form coral reefs. Very, very gradually. In fact, the Great Barrier Reef has been growing for close to twenty-five million years. Distant starlight is also a problem for YEC views.

A more empirical (almost common sense) argument regards the immorality of God. If God is omnibenevolent, why did he do so much harm in the Bible? In fact, if he exists, he killed over thirty million people. Also concerning the powers of God, if he is omnipotent, can he create a rock that he can't move?

* This argument applies only to young earth creationism, not to creationism or Christianity as a whole.
