Abstruse
Talking is cheap, writing about the Christian path is cheaper still, and anyone can do it. By touting high sounding words… that can just be icing over nothing at all….zilch underneath--- sort of like cotton candy, just not very sweet to the taste. Quoting scriptures can be the most insidious of all, for it is easy to line up all kinds of scripture to back up some pre-conceived idea about how it all works. It is not always about doing, though that is important, it is what we are, what we have become through the grace of Jesus Christ, which has precedence that people pick up. We are all intuitive when it comes to others, often more abstruse when dealing with ourselves. We know when someone is real, or someone who is just angry and needs to find someone to take it out on. People pick up condescending attitudes and it is easy to pick them up when it is directed at us, perhaps harder when we do it towards others.
