A new beginning
(Women’s cursillo 9/26/13)
Beginnings are everywhere,
they bring us hope,
a gift to be embraced
To be welcomed into a new community
is a beginning without price,
freely given in love,
a home of sorts,
where we find friends
and those who try us,
all equal in their importance.
To deepen ones faith,
to allow the heart to expand,
for ones faith home to become alive and real;
is this not truly
the best beginning of all,
that will encompass your whole life,
deepening all other relationships
enriching your existence.
The fourth day is a beginning as well,
a road that leads to an ever deepening
expedience of community,
a deeper understanding of Christ love for all,
and how his Spirit works in each of us;
in that we become healers for one another.
For we learn to see with the eyes of Christ Jesus,
to touch with his hands,
to embrace with his arms,
to manifest his love by our simple being.
When we feel ‘seen’ and not judged,
then we find healing.
What Jesus does for us,
we are called to do it for one another,
and by our service
to grow in simple compassion, empathy and love.
