I gotta say I've met all types. I"ve seen people throw fits over license plates, and tags. I've watched them junk cars for revenge.

I know my way around some pretty backwoods little burgs and I've still got more to go. It's strange. In the central part of the state you meet some truly uptight people. You swing out on the fringes and they get more laid back.

Some of the places I've had to stay though...... Well there was this place in Stanton, that was pretty much a no tell motel. But it was the only place to stay, since everything else was full. There were cracks under the door and around the air conditioner two inches wide and the room was like a cracker box, but at least it was clean. Of course that Thursday night I"m laying there watching TV and I hear a gunshot. I'm not exactly sure where it was coming from, all I knew was that if I heard another I was hiding in the bathroom. The next morning my travel partner asked me if I'd heard it, so I know I wasn't hearing things. And then there was Louisa, just last week. America's Best Value Inn. We got rooms there because the only other place in town was full, much like Stanton. We go to check in and the "lobby" was filthy. People had left bags laying on the floor, and there was food scatted all over a table. We get the keys to our rooms and trudge up some concrete stairs outside. I slipped the card in the door and shove it open, and the crack and meth fumes hit me full in the face.

A quick glance showed me that one of the bedspreads had been taken and housekeeping, such as it was, obviously didn't care. I even think there were cigarette butts laying in the middle of the bed. My co worker looked at me with a raised eyebrow, then shoved open her door. It was covered in dust and cobwebs but at least there was no crack. She told me to go downstairs and see if I could change rooms. So back down to the filthy lobby to wait on the pierced host. I told her this, "I need to see if I can change rooms. Somebody's been smoking some funky sh*t in there."

I knew buy the grin she had an idea and she said, "You're in 229 right? Yeah, we had to call the cops on them." Thank God my coworker walked in and told the girl we wanted a refund. She handled that while I sprinted back up the stairs and grabbed my bags and her's and loaded them back in the car. I wasn't even done putting them in the trunk when she was out the door, shoving my money back in my hands and jumping in the car. We ended up having to drive 40 minutes every morning and night, but at least the hotel was nice. So I'm moving back to the parent's place. I'm going true redneck and living in a mobile home for a few weeks until I can finish up these classes and go to Florida.

And since my last day on the job I have now is Monday (YAY!!!) I should be able to finish up fairly quickly.

That interesting. I just don't get what's going on with me lately, but I've been getting weird phone calls and offers. Yesterday there was a lady wanting me to come interview for a job. I had to turn it down, because in a few weeks I'm moving out of state. This weekend I'm dog sitting, so I'll have to waste a lot of gas to do that. Not to mention the big hound dog I have at home, (which I had to chase all over the farm last night ) that's not even mine, but my roommates.

You ever see a cigarette burn in the bathroom floor, because someone passed out on the toilet and wouldn't get up for three hours?

Yes it's lovely. It aches like a toothache. I've had to walk on it all day, up and down more stairs (I hold on to the hand rail now. I'm not going through that again.)
