The Sion Revelation

Just been reading this and the first part is a really interesting account of how the Priory of Sion was invented and built up over the years. The second part is about the supposed conspiracy of the synarchists to take over Europe but I'm not sure how credible that is. A good book though, and you don't need to agree with their theories, it's packed with info. I also liked their book Masks of Christ, an attempt to get to the truth of what really happened.

I've got this book but have never read it yet...I think it's because I read The Stargate Conspiracy first, which I did enjoy but it's like reading a Dan Brown book. I guess if I approach The Sion Revelation as a work of fiction too then i'll probably enjoy it as much as the others..

The first part, at least, isn't fiction, since it's full of sourced info.

Sion can mean Sun or Stone other than what we typically identify with the word. I've read targate Conspiracy but not this one. I imagine it takes heavily from the Messianic Legacy about Anglo-Americans, Merovogians and Venetians. Almost impossible to say with any clarity whether any of it holds up but it does make a fanatstic story and what is wrong with that at the end of the day.

The street layout of the Olympic village hints at some connection to the word Sion rather than Zion so I feel there is a lot of cognitive dissonance and revelation of the method going on.

Can you elaborate more on what they are talking about?

They fully accept that the Priory of Sion was made up by Pierre Plantard in the 1950s and that the documents and all other materials were forged by him and Philippe de Cherisey in the 1960s. What's so interesting about it is the in-depth coverage of just how all these things fitted together and why, and the unfolding story of it.

Yes, that is the sort info in the Messianic Legacy though they may be more willing to entertain the notion that the PS had more of an authentic origin. We really don't know because secret societies are by their nature secret. Plantard however has more or less advertized the existence so did he make it up or was his role to bring it to the surface? We don't know and it doesn't matter really. Plantard was into a lot of esoteric material, writing CIRCUIT and other journals I think. He was active allegedly in the rise of DeGaulle and may well have been a spook going back to WW2. Of course this could all be fabrication and he may have created this out of thin air. Hard to know for sure without checking the sources and that is exactly what Picknett and Prince do. Let us know if anything of interest comes to light. I'll be particularly interested by anything relating to Catholicism, Socialism or the Bretonic heritage and connection with Britain. Sion seems to refer to Britain in some way and with the current situation in Europe what happens with France will be interesting.

Their basic theory is that Plantard etc. and the Priory of Sion was just a front organisation for a group of synarchists who were trying to create a united Europe. This goes back to magazines that Plantard ran during the war and afterwards. All the stuff about the treasure and the bloodline was just a diversion. I didn't know Sion could refer to Britain though, in what way?

I was going on the premise tha Sion can mean Stone or Sun and how the Stone of Scone (kinda like Scion) being the foundation of the British Monarchy. This is the year of the diaomond jubilee and what will happen when Liz abdicates and Charles steps up. It is a big deal in terms of a unified Europe and world so we will have to see. Charles has a lot of connections to conspiracies and the new age conspiracy so I just found this quite interesting.

Can Sion mean stone or sun? I know there's the Rock of Zion but that's a specific rock, Mount Moriah, on which Solomon's Temple was built, and it's still there, in Jerusalem, under the Dome of the Rock.
