I call it a CGI fake, because especially the smaller objects look like someone just applied a simple cheesy glow effect on the footage. I'm no expert in video editing, it's merely a gut feeling. Placing some friends on a street corner as "other witnesses" is no problem. I rest my case until there's videos from those other guys that were filming as well...
