Pulsar_J Posted September 9, 2012 #1 Share Posted September 9, 2012 Wasn't sure where to post this Q. I'm not even sure I'm allowed to ask it but anyway! What is the best movie you have seen that is apparently based on a true story? It can be on any subject. An example: Rainman (great movie). Taun Posted September 15, 2012 #24 Share Posted September 15, 2012 I would like to add another movie to my earlier list... I just finished watching it for the first time.. "The Flowers of War" - the story is about a group of young female students trapped inside a Mission Church in Nanking during the Japanese occupation (The Rape of Nanking - not Japans finest hour).. I don't know if the events portrayed are true events but I do know that similar events occurred in Nanking during the occupation... Very good film - partially in Chinese and partially in English (Christian Bale stars as a man masquerading as a Priest who helps the girls)...
