MissMelsWell Posted November 7, 2012 #106 Share Posted November 7, 2012 Washington and Colorado. Well how about that. Although, I live in Washington, and we've known for quite some time that I-502 to legalize would pass. It passed by a significant margin, right about where the polls have been suggesting it would so it's no surprise. Colorado IS a surprise though. Their early polling was suggesting that it would not pass there. Oregon had a similar initiative on their ballot but it didn't pass. But expect them to model their next initiative after Colorado and Washington and THEN it will pass there too. Followed by California, and others. Now the big question is whether the feds are going to come after both states. I think they will... they'll do it financially. They'll cut Federal funds for highways and other infrastructure. Just watch, but they'll have to do it quick or too many other states will jump on board and then the Feds won't be able to do too much. While I will never purchase and partake, I am glad that Washington was the first with Colorado. Its the right thing to do here. Other states can make their own decisions.

+joc Posted November 7, 2012 #109 Share Posted November 7, 2012 Israel will cry now Yes they will...what's left of them. Now, who will stop Iran from getting the bomb? Obama? No. And will Iran use the bomb against Israel? Of course they will...why? Because THAT is their number one goal....the destruction of Israel. I don't think that you and alot of other Obama supporters can see past what you have for breakfast in the morning. No Israel means WWIII. It doesn't matter...check mate. Game Over. AMerica loses, Russia and China win. And you are glad about that!? It's a sad day for America...it's a sadder day for the rest of the World. And to my friends in Australia...a word of Advice...start right now learning a foreign language. Learn both Russian and Chinese...because one of them is going to take you over! A rather obscure Bassoon Posted November 7, 2012 #111 Share Posted November 7, 2012 (edited) where is and then? He's probably in Isreal consoling his big buddy Netynyahu. He had convinced himself that Romney was going to win. I wasn't a big fan of Obama but i have a lot of respect for him now.He shouldn't have won by rights but he won quite convincingly last night. Wasn't there a bunch of Republicans who said they'd immigrate to Australia if Obama won? Because Australia would be a GREAT country for a bunch of people who are pro-gun, pro-death penalty, anti-abortion, anti-socialised medicine and anti-anyone who isn't their brand of Christian.... Not to nit pick, but Texas could sustain itself. It's LA, MS, and AL they'd have trouble supporting, what with all the welfare those states need to stay afloat. But Texas has had a secede movement since the late 1800's and it's always been an epic, epic fail. There are still a few smart people down there. MissMelsWell Posted November 8, 2012 #125 Share Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Decided last night to finally get a passport and visit America after hearing this wonderful news. Don't come down too quick... Washington State is at least one year away from opening it's doors for legal sales. They have a lot of sorting out to do. The Feds came out today and stated that at this time, they have no intention of filing suit. Interesting. They do want to review the legislation, they do want to meet with state officials, but it looks like at this moment, they have no concrete plans to intervene. Very very interesting. It's kind of amazing how many DAs, law enforcement and government officials are actually standing behind this legalization effort. If the Feds can keep their fingers out of it, I think it could be very successful. Edited November 8, 2012 by MissMelsWell
