Need anything more be said?

This killed its credence, in my opinion. Kids say things, and when one said that he/she saw something, it probably started a wildfire of hysteria.

Children are highly impressionable. One probably saw an animal got scared and made something up and the rest just followed along. Not lying just impressionable kids.

i'm kinda struggling here to come up with a religion that bans the use of mobile phones??

the only things I can come up with are-

the amish.

luddites.

fish. (can't work the buttons)

ICU nurses.

telepaths.

airline pilots.

neanderthals.

Cell phones are banned at all schools here. They are a distraction so kids are not allowed to have them in school. Maybe that's what he meant.

Otherwise a religion that controls it's followers so closely that they can't have a cell phone is a cult... but aren't they all?
