keninsc Posted June 10, 2013 #26 Share Posted June 10, 2013 Or made up. I think it's interesting that people who are looking for Bigfoot don't seem to have a great deal of luck. It's always the some teenager with nothing but a really bad cell phone. I think the thing that I get most laughs at are the guys on "Finding Bigfoot" who toss out their "facts" left and right. "It's an established fact that Bigfoots do this....." Mind you, these guys have yet to actually find a Bigfoot, but they can tell you all about them, their habits, what they eat, how they raise their kids but they just can't quite come up with a good picture, or a body or skeleton, or actually capture one. That's quazzy.

So they take the facts of what we know of those existing creatures, and attach them to the bigfoot understanding. But your right, they've yet to find one and study it exclusively. Plus they also use the "footage" we have now and take into account of those characteristics...
Sakari Posted June 10, 2013 #28 Share Posted June 10, 2013 Hahaha, Ken, the point would be just to have someone with not only experience and understanding of the area (and not just a unexperienced Hiker), but someone who would truly have an experiment that is skeptical. Untouched and skeptical research usually comes out with the best results. Because that person would put the most effort in capturing something, instead of taking every little thing that could be evidence of bigfoot into fact, they would do everything to bring out the truth. It's just the best way to find the truth. Because when there's nothing else that can explain it, a conclusion must be made. Jessem, If there is ever a " sighting " near me, I promise you I will go there and check it out.
Blink4567 Posted June 10, 2013 #29 Share Posted June 10, 2013 I take my regular camera with me when I go fishing. I have a thread on trail cameras here, where I had been posting what I had gotten. If and when I go out again, I will take a trail cam. My last 5 to 6 years have been from one job to another, and no vacation time being built up. Sucks, but I have not had much time to do things I used to enjoy. Also, I stopped hunting years ago. To me, it would need to be a place where people claim " they " are. I wish I could afford to follow around " finding bigfoot " and do my own thing. As for the sounds, at night, there is no way to show you what is making those sounds. Not with my budget. Now, if you are ever in this area, you are more then welcome to stay here, we have 2 extra furnished rooms, you can sit on the back deck at night, and hear very similar things to what people claim are Biff. Sakari, thanks man. That is awesome! Might take you up on the one day. I lived in the country of a huge state down south for about 14 years, and one point we had 5 acres with the nearest neihbor about a quarter mile away, and they were across the street! Your right the noises are amazing, and the night sky CANNOT be contended with, my Goodness is that some beautiful stuff! I just appreciate you saying you would try if you get the chance. Thats just one step forward! Jessem, If there is ever a " sighting " near me, I promise you I will go there and check it out. Works for me! Thats awesome! Sakari Posted June 10, 2013 #30 Share Posted June 10, 2013 (edited) Oh I understand that, but I think what they're doing is actually assuming bigfoot is of the "ape" family. So they take the facts of what we know of those existing creatures, and attach them to the bigfoot understanding. But your right, they've yet to find one and study it exclusively. Plus they also use the "footage" we have now and take into account of those characteristics... They are not even taking the facts of Apes. Habitat, food, social life, breeding, etc. They are making money on something I am sure they know does not exist. They are keeping the legend going and making money off of it. Lying in the process, I consider this fraud. I wish I could get funding like they do and do as you say. Get a group together, and spend more then 3 days at one place. The group would have a real Biologist, a Fish and Game person from that area ( experienced one ), a hunting guide from that area, and video / audio specialists. Preferably the ones whom worked on Discoveries " Planet earth ".... Edited June 10, 2013 by Sakari

They assume they are members of the ape family but then so are we, and you really have to include some human traits as well. It's just human nature to try and fill in any blanks because we're curious and mysteries just make us more curious and we come to a point where we have to fill in the blanks in some way, even if we have to make it up or rationalize something to fit in there.
