Superman/Batman

I grew up reading comic books and Batman and Superman were always at the top of my list. This pleases me.

Zack Snyder has officially announced Batman/Superman, stating that it will take inspiration - but not be based on - Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns. A press release also confirms that Warner Bros. are looking for a new Batman and which Man of Steel cast members are returning.

inspiration meaning dark & grim

be nice if they tried the 'public enemies' story arc, but it'd cost a fortune to film.....

.

it's in the pipeline apparently Vaise.

if they try 'world war three', that'd knock the spots off the avengers!

Not necessarily - DC owns all the characters, it'd be a great way to instantly create and fill a universe - Supes and Bats (back when Supes stood for something, and Batman wasn't a grumpy dick all the time) versus everything with a pulse. It'd be CGI intensive but all films are these days. And most of the "baddies" are second stringers, so you're not going to get too many backs up if you chop and change them with others.

I'd use Morrison's War of the Worlds personally - pick up nicely from the end of Man of Steel with Supes being untrusted, maybe have it the "aliens turn up, Batman calls together a crew to fight them" story - or have Green Lantern or Martian Manhunter as the "team builder", he knows the Martians/aliens are coming and that humanity will need defenders.

i have to agree with Sir on that.

they should let grant morrison have a go with the script.

he knows the characters, has written some of the best JLA story arcs, and if anyone can storyboard the movie, it's him!

that's if anyone can drag him away from the brilliant 'supergods' at the mo.....

Christian Bale does not want to reprise the Batman role anymore.

But a JLA movie would be very interesting. Only, I don't relish Ryan Reynolds returning to role of Hal Jordan.

It would be fine with the founders lineup:

Aquaman

Batman

The Flash

Green Lantern

Martian Manhunter

Superman

Wonder Woman
