Object moves off table lights flicker

So I was texting a friend today. They told me they watched a scary movie in the morning.

And that a while after viewing the film. That an object jumped off the table..

and then the lights flickered!

Now the object would just something at the edge of the table..

or a can that rolled off etc.

BUT what about the lights flickering??

Now that is truly scary !

Tell me what you think/.

I hope i can go there later and get some video footage.

Oh yes those million dollars are mine.. mine I tell you !

Over-active imagination and paranoia after watching the movie and nothing more.

Sometimes there is a slight drop in wattage or there is a brief mis-contact in the lamp fixture...purely mundane and nothing special or spooky about it.

Lights flicker all of the time for a multitude of reasons.

There's also the possibility that they could simply be ******* with you because they know you're into this stuff.

Everyone I don't think my friend is playing.

Something moved on it's own again in the house.

He is there alone..

and it was after watching that demonic movie..

it could be coincidence..

or he would have telekensis and is moving stuff with his mind...

what do you think it is?

I think I should go over to investigate.. and get some video..

Yes, yes, he was endowed with telekenisis after watching a demonic movie...

Do you realize that I've watched thousands of horror movies and I'd be stronger than Supergirl if that were the case??

You know, I've had "life events" that seemed a little strange(deja vu, etc...) but have never, to my knowledge, experienced "physical" anomalies such as objects moving on their own or of, say, "seeing a ghost".

Not saying it's not possible, just that I haven't experienced it.

I've had those kinds of experiences. But I was usually baked at the time. I'm not saying I've always been so when weird things happen. But when I'm alone, in the dark, watching a scary movie, I'm baked. And things tend to happen. I may see something, hear something, or something may fall off a table. But then there are times when I've been by myself and had freaky stuff happen without the benefit of strong smoke.

Lights flickering is scary?

Yup, you're gonna show video footage of lights flickering to someone from the James Randi Foundation and they're gonna write you a check for $1,000,000. That's totally gonna happen.

Why wouldn't they? Lights flickering (in my experience) is a common and mundane thing. If you genuinely think flickering light bulbs is evidence of the paranormal, then you're probably beyond rational argument.

Of course they don't. And everyone who posts pictures and video of dust orbs on this website has absolutely no dust or bugs in their homes because they live in scientific cleanrooms. Your friend no doubt has the fortune to live in an area where the electrical grid is 100% infallible and there's no possibility of a drop in voltage causing lights to flicker. Lucky for him.

Same thing used to happen me when I first started to smoke weed. It used to make me paranoid (a well known side effect) and every noise and thing on the periphary of my vision freaked me out as I gave it much more significance than it warranted.

Agreed. But I've been there and done that. Seeing strange things without weed happens more often than not. Especially from my culture.
