Mount Everest stands on a plateau 12000 ft above sea level,but it rises only 17000 ft above that.(29000 ft hgh)

Mount Mauna Kea, Hawai'i, rises 13784 ft above sea level,but its 18000 ft from the sea bed to the surface (31784 ft high)

To make them more lightweight, most birds do not have bladders to store urine.

So....Errr...when there's a flock of seagulls flying over us at the beach,we sometimes feel spots of "rain" ?
