Hint: whenever you hear Green...think Red...think Moscow...this is where the Green Movement started...when the Wall fell...the Hardline Communists scurried out of sight like cockroaches...they didn't leave...they were right there under the sink the whole time...

Yes, the USSR was noted for its environmental awareness. Chernobyl, the diversion of the Aral Sea for irrigation, its famously stringent standards for air pollution....

What is important to understand Colonel is that the Green Movement isn't really concerned at all about the Environment. The entire movement was designed to limit American Capitalism. Don't let them drill! But..we have all this oil in Alaska just waiting to be pumped out...NO..the CARIBOU~ for gods sake think about the Caribou...you greedy SOBs don't care about the caribou...

and such nonsense. The Green Movement is a hoax perpetuated by the Russian Communists. Hitler did the same thing...it isn't a new game...just an old game rejuvinated.

Colonel,

Do you ever feel like a Bass? Because you are falling for all of this crap hook, line and sinker!

And letting American Capitalism (pauses to wave Flag) have completely unfettered freedom would be good for whom, exactly? The average Citizen? Surely you don't believe that, do you.

Oh, and have you ever heard of the idea of the Ecosystem, and how just perhaps the Caribou might be as important as unlimited Oil? I should look it up some time. It's probably on Wikipedia.

Hey, I am all for protecting the environment, and being a good steward of the earth. But, Americans need jobs! My husband is a welder, and they are constantly doing work for oil companies and making equipment for them. They are always talking about how many jobs, and how much money it would bring people, (the Keystone Pipeline) if the environmentalists would just shut up....We need to be producing our own oil and quit being so dependent on other countries, like Saudi Arabia, for their oil....plus the price of gas would go down as well, and that would help everyone out! :)

It’s no wonder 82 percent of American voters support the full pipeline, which would pump $20 billion into the U.S. economy during the course of its construction, would help create an estimated 117,000 family-sustaining jobs within 25 years of construction (stemming from increased trade between Canada and the US), and would contribute five billion dollars in taxes to local counties over the pipeline’s lifetime.

We need the taxpayers to build an oil pipe? We can question food stamps, health insurance, retirement money, a few rare birds even question the wars, but an oil pipe running through the center of the country?

By all means, go to the states where the pipeline will actually exist and convince their taxpayers they need this big project to create employment in their locales, but don't hand me a load of statist nonsense that we need the federal government to manage it and the grandchildren on the hook for it. Why aren't private companies contracting with states on this project? Why is it another political football for Washington DC? Why does oil get a hall pass? When the pipe is built all the jobs dry up; more part time partisan employment ideas from Washington.

Actually, it is a fact that the Caribou have increased in numbers along the Pipe Line...because of the warmth of it...so yeah...they are important...I would still rather eat a cow though.
