A science team in South China achieved the feat by injecting the animals with the DNA of a jellyfish.

The team from the Agricultural University in Guangdong Province created a litter of 10 glow-in-the-dark piglets that glow green when placed under a black fluorescent light. The feat is similar to that achieved by another team in Turkey who recently produced glow-in-the-dark rabbits through the same method and who are now working on doing the same thing with sheep.

Meh. Our cops have been glowing-in-the-dark for years.

And those cops from Pripyat are visible from outer space!

Glow-in-the-dark pigs. What will they think of next?

Mary had a little lamb, it's fleece was white as snow,

And everywhere that Mary went, the lamb was sure to glow.

In the article it says they only glow under black lights...BUT... plants have been created that glow with no black light, ie: They just GLOW!! The following article suggests they can be used for streetlights!!

From the quote in the OP:

The feat is similar to that achieved by another team in Turkey who recently produced glow-in-the-dark rabbits through the same method and who are now working on doing the same thing with sheep.

For the benefit of restless New Zealand farmers? ;-)

Or maybe fits of laughter
