PNG Files

Have been attempting to insert sequential PNG files into a response. Files are less than 100 Kb each. Have broken down response to one PNG file per response. There would appear to be difficulties.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Swede

If the quality is not important, I just use MS Paint. Almost every computer comes with it. I just open it in Paint and save it as a JPG.

Without you explaining precisely what happens, it is rather hard to troubleshoot. As the other folks said, JPG files are a much 'better' choice - not better from a quality p-o-v, but from all other points of view - eg general browser compatibility, file size, preferred format by forum software, incompatibilities with transparency, etc. And 100kb may not sound like much but if you embed several in a post, and perhaps the server is currently in a high-load state, it may go badly. I've had a few problems with UM hanging (Uploading/Saving file...............goes on forever) when I load images lately.. But it is usually only very shortlived - might be my end as I'm on a slow connection.

Gentlemen,

My thanks for your responses. Appreciated. Have converted to JPG with no success. Problem as follows:

Text inserted into the editor can be previewed/edited/posted. Graphics inserted (pasted) into the editor will appear in the editor box but vanish when previewed or posted.

Your thoughts?

If the image is on your computer you need to attach it to the post via the "attach files" box underneath the editor.

Thanks Saru,

Had previously done this and was not fully pleased with the display. Did however, just revert to such. It will need to suffice as is.
