New to the site...question about something

So I've always been a half-believer in the paranormal, specifically the ghosts, only half because i've never experienced anything that was a definate answer for me, but I've had experiences that were possible. Anyway, this just happened in the last couple nights.

I have a clock that was given to me for christmas by my grandparents, its nothing special, they got it at a local department store, so theres no real attachment to it.

About 3 weeks ago the battery died and I didnt bother to replace it.

About two or three mornings ago I was sitting here on my computer doing my normal morning routine before getting ready for work, when all at once I felt a chill go down my spine. Suddenly I realised that this clock that had been dead, is now ticking again.

I assumed maybe my wife changed the battery in it the night before and I simply had just not noticed until now, so I phoned her to ask. She said she had never touched the thing.

The clock finally died yesterday afternoon....again... at some point while I was at work.

Last night I was up until 1am, before deciding to go to bed. On my way into the bedroom, which is always very dark, I bumped my foot on the edge of the bed. Suddenly, my wife's cellphone, which was on the other side of the room, lit up creating a ton of light in the room, enough for me to see my way to bed. Now this phone had not been touched for two hours as my wife went to bed at 11am and had not touched her phone since then. As soon as I crawled into bed, the phone's light shut off..

In the past few days, I've been feeling a little off. It feels as though I've been coming down with a cold, however, I have no sore throat, I have not been sneezing, nor coughing, nor have a plugged or runny nose. It just feels like pressure in my head and ache's through my neck and back muscles.

Is all this related, or are they just random events?

Could be random or could be more....that's up to you to find out really.....basic things I would ask are has anyone died, specifically one of the grandparents the clock came from? has there been anything else? smells, cold spots etc....

Hi and welcome to UM...I don't think there's anything paranormal going on with you...Clocks, wristwatches, tend to do this every so often....On a clock it could be that one of the batteries dislodged a little...Wristwatches, well my husband has two, put the one in the drawer that wasn't working...About two days later he was looking for something, opened the drawer and the watch was working...go figure...As far as the cell phone, perhaps when you bumped the bed, it was close to the table and the phone got a slight jolt as to light up....Mine will light up if I just touch it lightly the wrong way.....And you sound like your getting the flu........ :)
