I am as interested in the UFO/ET visitation phenomenon as I am in the people believing in the phenomenon itself. Meaning, I find these wild claims and possibilities equally interesting as what goes on inside some of these believers heads. Asking for evidence is only natural, because without it, we are talking faith,... and thats a road Im not willing to take.

If the OP is serious about these thoughts and beliefs, then I would recommend the same as I recommend the people that truly believe they have been abducted by aliens - Seek help, not from some hypnology UFO hack or a Dr Roger Leir, but from a professional psychologist.

There isn't any evidence, nothing , nada, not a single shred of evidence for these beliefs would stand up to any kind of public scrutiny.

Where did the OP ask for advice on her what's causing her beliefs? I saw her ask if there is anyone else like her, but I didn't see the post where she asked if people could give her advice on what to do?

That is like expecting no one will question you when you say you are the reincarnated Jesus Christ and that you are just trying to find some of your ol' pals ( = apostles).

  :tu: Exactly..... I dont think Hazzard was trying to be rude, he just called it the way he sees it, like the rest of us, we can have an opinion about peoples delusions and how they might try and get better, if they want too?

You ever ventured around other areas of the forum relating to beliefs etc DBunker (which many of the topics on this section relate too)...because if you had you will notice that most people respect the intention and direction the OP started the thread for, they might not agree, but they don't constantly pop up on every thread trying to crow bar it down the same road, i.e scientific evidence or they need medical help. We've heard it all before, time and time again, on every flipping thread...I think everyone gets it now :tu:

Whilst i've read probably all the relavent stuff relating to the kind of beliefs displayed in the OP, I wouldn't mind, once in a while, actually reading what these people discuss etc...I might learn something new about how they think..

Whilst we're on the subject of threads though, you ever feel like starting one showing all your research and debunking skills on many of these claims, feel free, i'd love to read it!

Come to think of it..... I might just start a thread of my own. You would probably be the only one reading it. I will call it - The UFO Loonies.

OP will say, short and simple - Show me the evidence *Snip*

Go for it! It clearly hasn't sunk in yet, despite 2,500 pages of the best evidence threads, and playing that same record you play again and again on every other thread, that there is no evidence, nothing. Can't wait to see your thread though, if only for your excellent debating skills ;)

And for the record, nah, i'd never 'shut the **** up' about this subject, not with someone like you anyway! :tu:

Not sure I got this right, but she believes in reincarnation, so the alien part of her would be spiritual rather than physical, like an alien in a human body, which means a DNA test would come out perfectly normal.

to starseed - I believe you're not lying, but I'm also curious about your reasons for being so sure about reincarnation and your alien parents. Anyway, I'm not sure a public forum is the best place to look for anyone who could be an alien, all you'll get is questions but I think you've noticed that already.

My bad... I misunderstood her assertations...

Though it does raise an interesting question (probably more for the Spirituality Board though)... ASSUMING 1) Non-Terrestrail Aliens exist and actually visit Earth and 2) Reincarnation exists...

What if a visiting Alien (on holiday, prison work release or whatever) kicks the 'ol space bucket and dies here on our beautiful little mud ball...  Does it's soul return home to Planet X? Or does it 're-spawn' locally?

This kind of reminds me of the ol Gilfaer and Rosie threads.

Sometimes it is "fun" just to let them ramble on about their exotic existences and encounters with aliens and stuff.  I think the only time we should ask for evidence is when they are making some "claim" like when psychics/mediums say "DON'T use the ouija board...trust me I know.."  Ya prove to me, "you know."

But this was clearly just one troubled/lonely soul looking to share her fantasy land with us, she even said she wasn't here to convince anyone of anything.

I understand how hard it is to hold the tongue, sometimes you want to shake them and say "c'mon you don't REALLY beleive you're a draconian do you?"

To offend was not the intent. I replied like I would if one of my friends or family members told me the same thing.

I can do that, right?

Well we'll probably never know what they had to say now - which is the point i'm making.

We already know there isn't a single case or belief that stands up to public scrutiny, let alone scientific scrutiny, all you have is people's perceptions and interpretations...so when someone specifically states they are wondering about people with the same beliefs, why do we constantly get the same lines trotted out by the same people:

Where's the evidence?

Are you mad?

Have you thought about seeing a psychologist?

or, i'll wait for science to tell when we find evidence of aliens..

If you went over to a religious/beliefs forum and kept doing that, especially when the thread isn't saying they have proof of anything, merely striking up a conversation with people interested in that particular subject, it would be considered trolling....yet with the subject of ufo's it is deemed that people are fair game!

If two people were discussing some far out subject in the pub, with a few onlookers listening in, and some irritant kept butting in with unrelated comments about 'evidence', one of two things would happen, he'd either get a slap or the people having the convo would walk away and let him/her go and annoy someone else. On a forum it usually ends with the OP and interested people not bothering to post, so you never get to see what would be said.

Obviously some people just come on here to repeat the same lines about demanding evidence, regardless of the threads intent...well i'd like to read what's being said first, before the inevitable happens and they go through repeated calls for evidence on a subject with no evidence to speak of.

Sure, if a claim is made that they claim proof of, call for evidence - but calling for it on every single thread, regardless of the intent of the topic?? it's gets like groundhog day!!
