The maximum Nifong can receive is 30 days.

This is WAY, WAY, WAY, WAY wrong.

To me, this "slap on the wrist" undermines everything the U.S. judicial system stands for.

We're talking about an idiot who blatantly tried to ruin the lives of 3 other individuals....knowing all the while that he had no basis for prosecution.

The sentence imposed on Nifong should be TWICE the maximum sentence that the 3 individuals he falsely brought blame on.

Losing his license is NOT enough, and a message should be sent to ALL attorneys. "If you practice the law and then knowingly

break it, you get TWICE the penalty of the ones you are accusing."

30 days for a perjury charge is lame enough.

He should be sent to jail for 60 years.

I agree, he should be punished with more than 30 days... I like the idea of him getting the sentence he would have given these innocent individuals... :tu:
