well first of all the FSA doesn't really get arms or training from any one, and if they received them it's in very small amounts

also they don't have real bases they are scattered all over syria and they are either civilians who decided to fight the regime or deflects from the military, the weapons they use are either from the captured military bases or home made by them, like you see in this video

and for iran, they officially say that they don't want to involve, but there is some people who saw Iranian soldiers inside Syria, officially both Syria and Iran say their is no Iranian soldiers

I think the point L's trying to make is the FSA has Al Qaeda helping them, Al Qaeda's said to have committed the 9/11 attacks (I word it this way because some people don't think they were involved, so I'll remain neutral), thus, if the US and other Western nations help the FSA, they're also helping Al Qaeda. This means no matter what anyone does, everyone's dirty, innocent people are dying.

So, anyone who has ever touched an al Qaida member is somehow magically turned into Muslim vampire or something?
Just because in all the confusion there’s also the al Qaida prowling around is not an excuse to let whole nation down, or let mad dictator keep throwing bombs on civilians.

Certain amount of religious nuttery goes with each national “spring”.
It was the same over here, where we got turbo-Catholicism with national liberation. It’s annoying, but it gradually goes away if people are not desperate. If they are desperate, then all kinds of extreme lunacies start to happen.

Supporting Assad, by bringing tankers of diesel for his tanks, for example, will not stop al Qaida. It will prolong the war, multiply suffering and thus make ideal nurturing ground for extremism.
And that diesel hasn’t been brought out of compassion, it was brought to help brute Russian imperialist force take its hold in Mediterranean, for blind god’s sake.  
That’s why I’m annoyed out of my socks with western salon left. Why are they so in love with Russian imperialism? Because today’s monster of the most brutal capitalism, Russia, once used to have quasi-socialist regime? What century you’re living in, folks?

By the way, head of Syrian Military Police, general Abdelasis Jassim al-Shalal has joined the rebels. He said the army turned into gang of murderers and destroyers. Why is his Syrian word less credible than Russian propaganda to some people?

Your Russophobia lessens your arguments about Syria. Perhaps you are still mad that some Cossacks, completely without government sanction, fought for Serbs. Yet of course it is okay for Germany to give Croatia financial and military aid? It is no secret that German and US generals were directing operations in Krajina against Serbs. However, it is the past. Perhaps you will remove blindfold and see the present a bit clearer without this anti Russian hysteria. Odd that nobody mentions China in regard to vetos, but then theres not so much pleasure as writing very tiresome anti Russian propaganda. Russia wants to keep the naval base at Tartus, it is no secret, in is in national interest to have a base in mediteranean, this has been long term desire for centuries. Can not Russia look to it's national interests? and what is Syria to you? you have no interests there, yet you take sides seemingly on basis of what you see on TV or youtube. When you see Russian planes bombing civilians in Syria, or spetsnaz in action other than to defend the base at Tartus, then perhaps you can complain, but none of these things has happened, or is likely to. And your comments about diesel are conjecture, please show proof of where this diesel is before making things up.

No interests, but I have friends of friends. My people who went there speak very well of Syrians and Syrians are in a position very similar to our position back in the 1990s. Enough for me. I don’t need to expect any gain from someone in order to sympathize with them.

I never was confusing Russia with Soviet Union. It was called Union, but it was Russian empire with quasi-communist tsar-like figure on top and slightly different rhetoric.
It was never Pact, it was occupation.
It’s was never Djugashvili alone, he could do **** without support from people. And Croat Tito was the only man who said "no" to him and survived

A leader who turns on his own people is not a leader but a dictator.  Shame on an army that turns against its own people whom they are supposed to protect. The should remember that their families are civilians and they are not the enemy.
