Space Commander Travis Posted October 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 11, 2014 (edited) That seems to be because it's the internet shorthand thing for that sunglasses smilie. It does add a touch of humour when someone's making some long, trenchant post that includes enumerating a list, to have in the middle of it. I've asked before whether it might not be possible to change it or disable it, but I think it comes with the software that this board uses, if I recall. Space Commander Travis Posted October 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2014 I think you can disable emotimojicons somewhere, but it's a bit of a pain to have to remember to do that each time. * Yes, you have to click 'More reply options', and then untick 'Enable emtoticons' over on the right. No one's going to bother to do that every time, are they? (A) Yes ( No
