i've gotten my cards read like 3 times already. and either they tell the same thing to everyone else or idk! this weekend i got a reading and for the third time they see a child the first time she told me i was suppose to have twins and my life was suppose to have started young about 16 it was wierd, cus then i was still virgin. so she was not even close and one time i went with someone other lady she said she saw a child in my life making an impact on me and the same thing about my career and all. this last weekend i went to see another lady 3 diff persons and she told me she saw a little girl and asked if i was pregnant? i said no way! she said i better be careful then. im just like why the heck do kids keep comming up? and they all seem to be little girls im having? and the rest is the same aswell like i get the same thing for money and career and social life and also i end up with little girls? hah thought i's just share this with you. could this mean something?

It means they see a young girl and that children, money and your career are easy to fake. Whats your birthday?

plus don't worry you are not going to have kids anytime soon, seeing as you want to still go to school and all of that and you're christian...though that doesn't really matter..as to why...it's your own values, understandable.

Marie..I keep getting that name, who knows why. Em I think you're trying to worry about things that aren't there, but people want to make there...don't let that get to you. Relax and you shall see how clear it is, I saw you walking down a hall with tile floor, it's some type of building probably your school, I thought maybe I saw you talking with one of your teachers after class..handing in a some sort of assignment, the teacher was on the left side of the hall i do believe, female, brown sort of hair...though it's not a normal color..well maybe it's the hair itself haha

I feel the same unless I read them and they total up to 21 only then do I know my future will be brighter.

The card reader 'suggested' children because most women your age are either thinking about having children or already have children. That's a 50/50 call right there and if she got it right your faith in her might be higher. It doesn't matter though she probably still got paid and that's all she cares about.

I am a tarot card reader, and as one I feel obligated to inform everyone it is BS. The rules of divination allow one to interpret cards in anyway they want, regardless of the actual meaning (actual meanings are also extremely vague, open-ended, and can be applied to anything). I'm an honest person, but when I'm acting as a Diviner, then I become an entertainer/illusionist/charlatan like all the rest.

Hi Lost Souls!

Not knowing how the cards literally fell during the readings or what other cards were there, I doubt anyone could say. There are a host of readers out there, and few who also are intuitive enough to know what the 72 cards are trying to express about millions of possible realities. It is not unlike a code, and they can't be read from the little white books or books that "define" meanings, in my experience.

ASSUMING that the card which they were interpreting as a young girl or child was a page, which is commonly a card used to express a young girl or boy, it may have simply meant that you are young at heart, or that your plans for the future are still young yet and so not clearly defined by you. It can mean that your energy as to the question you asked is enthusiastic and yet young and still growing into maturity and better effect.

OR

ASSUMING that the card was an ace, which is commonly the card that turns up for a birth, it can also (and more commonly) be talking about a new job, or plan or idea (whatever the question was about is newly born and full of unrealized potential to be determined). You mention one said twins, and if there were two aces there, this is a shallow error to make. Not kids but new potentials in two areas of your life at the time, and the suit would tell me what areas those are involving, given a well attuned deck.

I don't mock the developing interpreters in saying this. I know the errors because I made them.

Unless you are menopausal, that you will someday have a daughter and she will cause changes in your career (heck, what birth would not?) might be true. Normally, though, I have not known most readings to hit distant eventualities, so had I done the reading and you told me this, I'd have talked to you about possible other meanings for it unless I clearly saw what it was trying to say. A good reading is more of a counselling session, and actually should tell you a lot you already knew or suspected, if it is in tune.

As for anything you get told here, beware of data which can be inferred from your own profile, or posts, and used to sound "psychic" and insightful.

To members in general reading this reply:

People, like some posters here, going in for a reading who do not trust or believe and are adversarial or play test the psychic do not generally get their hopes met. Most readers I know charge about 20 bucks or a donation, for one question, and they are DUE the fee for listening/having to feel such hostility or attitude for an hour and no surprise if the reading was lousy. Most don't know how to say "keep your money and get out of my office", or they worry overly much about being "nice". I don't worry about being nice. Some folks are better off to go chat with a bartender and use the cash for a drink.

If you go in with an open mind and expect a counselling conversation inspired by the cards and to find a friendly person who will help you find new potentials or insights into what you are struggling with, then you'll be happier, given a genuine developing Intuitive as your "reader". Psychics who have genuine abilities will, can and certainly are due being paid a heckuva lot more for their time and the ability they gave a lot of themselves up to develop to help people.

The problem is not in the cards. They are, effectively, 72 words, or glyphs, 144 if you read reversals (I don't). The problem is with the "readers" and lacking a real gift to interpret what the limited pictographs are trying to describe, if the interpreter has a real ability. Most don't or are still developing one. It took me years to get reasonably good at the Tarot lingo, and by then I no longer used it much and have not now for well over a year, and that sporadically at best. I still occasionally missed meanings in a reading even towards the end of my regular use of them.

Frauds abound, wannabes abound, the delusional abound, and gee whiz, there are liars in the world and on the net, too. But just because a thing does not work for you does not make it useless. Threads like this remind me of Christ's crucifiction and Herod mocking Him and asking for a miracle, said he'd set Him free if he did one, and his answer was silence. That does not mitigate the miracles that were done before or after, it simply says it all about Herod and his issues and beliefs.

For those who would say well, they don't believe in a God either, then how was Tarot ever going to convince you, anyway? Both require looking outside yourself, and your "facts". If you do not need God, today, and your facts are all you need, you don't need to be wasting the time of someone who doesn't believe as you do. In fact, it is a form of theft, to waste the time of other people.

Silence is a good answer, actually. I usually stick with it, but the OP sounds sincere and deserves an answer to an honest question from someone who knows Tarot well enough to do so.

Then, you are not an honest person. Don't kid yourself about it. Tarot was devised with two uses originally - as playing cards and as a divinatory assistant. Most people used them as playing cards, even today, though they think of it as divining. There is a difference between the game and a DIVINEr. It is fine that you are not going to agree with that. If there is room for your opinion, there is also room for mine, and I do not appreciate all tarotologists being referred to as charlatans simply because you are one, by your own admission. However, after The Fool comes The Magician/The Charlatan, so, don't give up growing. One doesn't stop until they reach The World at least once, and the cycle repeats throughout life. Been there, done that, myself, repeatedly.

What I meant was on a daily basis I'm not the kind of person who would tell lies, gossip, etc. Its just that when I take out the cards, its time to do so, as it becomes my job

k first of, eeww im not christian. no offnse to christians, but iam not, im actually agnostic. and i only have 2 classes now and both the teachers are male. thanks for trying anyways =] i'll just take what you said as a sort of advice.
