girty1600 Posted October 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 5, 2006 Firefighter Charged With Killing Teen Oct 4, 6:42 PM (ET) By BILL POOVEY CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - A firefighter was charged Wednesday with kidnapping a teenager at gunpoint, then shooting him on a roadside and leaving his body, according to officials and arrest records. Marvin Nicholson Jr., 33, was arrested at his home Wednesday morning, Hamilton County Sheriff's spokesman Ron Rice said. Nicholson was charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and first-degree murder, records show. The victim, 15-year-old James Citizen, and his 18-year-old sister had been outside their house before he was abducted Tuesday, their mother, Veronica Citizen Toney, told the Chattanooga Times Free Press. The daughter told investigators she and her brother were walking when a driver got out holding a handgun and told her brother not to run, according to arrest records. Before the boy got in the car, the driver told the sister to walk away, saying, "This is none of your business," the records state. Investigators who responded to a report of gunfire at a roadside discovered the body, the records show. Investigators said they were not aware of any previous link between Nicholson and the boy. Nicholson was suspended without pay, Fire Chief Wendell Rowe said. His six-year work record was satisfactory, and he had no behavioral problems, Rowe said. Jok3r Posted October 5, 2006 #4 Share Posted October 5, 2006 Not something I would expect from a person who saves lives. I wonder what the reason behind this was.

girty1600 Posted October 5, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted October 5, 2006 For some reason this makes me think of FluffyBunny That's probably because Fluffy is a Fireman; I'm sure this makes him sick. Tell you the truth, I thought of him too when I happened on this article.
Michelle Posted October 5, 2006 #7 Share Posted October 5, 2006 The local grapevine is saying that is has something to do with drugs.
the Shadamaun Posted October 5, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 5, 2006 Firefighters are real life superheros. Its a shame this man went off the deep end like that. Does this grapevine say that Nicholson was on drugs at the time, or was involved in a drug racket and Citizen ran afoul of it? (PS: Im doing my damndest to respect the sombre seriousness of this case and ignore the macabre irony when I think that a fireman harmed a Citizen.) RollingThunder06 Posted October 5, 2006 #10 Share Posted October 5, 2006 How terrible that this man worked six years saving lives just to end up taking one.
