That's the number of states that are either solidly or leaning Democratic in a series of Gallup tracking polls conducted over the first six months of 2009.Only eight states are solidly or leaning Republicans in that same data.

ok to be fair, it's not just healthcare reform. It has to do with a lot of things.

Sucks for them, they'll still probably win some seats come '10, still probably not enough for a majority in either. They got their 8 years, give Obama his 4 (maybe 8?), of course the opposition has every right to attempt to stop any outrageous bill that tries to get shoved through.

Its how it works ninja, cause both parties are crap. The people here are swayed easy as well. Its a vicious cycle, and its at our expense. Bro, our own representatives refused to be under 0bama's health care. that should tell you all you need to know.

Wow, boy is that a turn around from 04, and even from 08. The Republicans really screwed themselves.(And they continue to more than ever)

Excellent point.

Wonder if Chris Dodd would be willing to " take a number" and get in line for his prostate cancer treatment ? Yeah Right !! You can bet that our elected leaders will still have direct access to the top doctors and jump to the head of the line.

:yes::yes::yes::yes:

Yes they are, and yes it is. Americans, I am told, like choices. You like to choose what food you eat, what cars you drive, what religion you belong to, or you can choose to not drive, not be religious, etc. etc.

So why don't Americans like more choice in politics?

I assume you're talking about the public option (only one component of the new health care plan). I'm not sure what you think that tells you.

"Republican obstruction to healthcare reform, not helping their numbers"

If its so bad then are are some democrats against it? if its so good they why is Obamas approval ratings going down? again there is no Republican obstruction because you don't even need a Republican vote!
