ali smack Posted February 23, 2013 #1 Share Posted February 23, 2013 I am not sure if I have put this in the right or wrong section of this site but wondered, do you believe sex offenders ( Rapists, child molesters, zoophiles, ) should be chemically castrated to prevent them for committing there horrendous crimes again, or not? I think they should be. But only if it is proven that they are guilty. I think it would help to prevent them hurting anyone else, if these dreadful characters are ever let out of prison again. But I am interested on hearing people's views on this.I am also interested if anyone has any evidence which disproves my belief that chemical castration is a good idea. I am also interested in what people's views of how sex offenders, especially and mostly repeat sex offenders punishments should be. I think they should be given strict jail terms. In some cases. I don't even think they should be let out. I don't believe in killing or torturing them. Because as much as I can't stand these animals. I don't really see the point in dragging yourself down to there level. Furthermore it isn't in my opinion going to help victims of sexual abuse, rape etc. But would like to hear people's views who believe this to be a good idea. Other then that we need to define Rape a little better as theres date rape, I said no rape the next day...I mean theres some ridiculous cases out there. Young teenagers getting accused of it because of a few days age difference then what the laws are. So yeah clarify that then Ill tell what I think. Serial adult rapists. The death penalty. A chemically castrated person can still rape someone with with an object or their hands. Also, a chemically castrated male can actually counteract the drugs with one of many testosterone boosting meds on the market. Violent or repeat sexual offenders should be removed from the world. I don't believe in killing or torturing them. previous evidence shows chemicals doesnt always work or sometimes becomes ineffective. i recall reading the news and case where the defense lawyer got a doctor to mention to judge 100 percent a chemical drug would work, only problem once the offender got out he didnt take his medicine and he committed more terrible offensives. i can imagine the horror and outrage of those families who found out the system failed and mad at the defensive lawyer for not mentioning conditions where it was prone to fail. clearly him not taking medicine affects how it would affect him, also if someone got a blood transfusion for some reason,accident,disease,etc, it would probably affect the effectiveness of the medicine.. What do we do with women sex offenders? To truly understand the situation and consequences you have to view all perspectives. People lie, I've heard a woman cry rape before with one of my friends. Luckily he never got cconvicted cause of witnesses. But she lied for revenge, it's a very dangerous card woman can use and some nutjob woman will use it. Same with girls or boys aorund 14/15. They have used molestation to get revenge, heard some right horrible stories about people doing that. Fact is, innocent people could be killed byt he system, or tortured etc. Once that starts happening, say goodbye to any freedom we have left. Justice failed and the death penalty should have been carried out. Hopefully it will be post prison before he kills again. Women caught sexually abusing kids should have their ovaries and uterus removed so there is no chance of them having a kid to abuse. I have zero tolerance for pedophiles. I think you should go to jail for having child pornography. However sometimes women lie about being raped when the parents finds out like when they end up pregnant or to get back at the boyfriend. But then I realized that rapist would have nothing to lose, but all to gain by also killing their victims. Murder wouldn’t increase the consequences it can only inflate the chances of evading execution. The death penalty for rape only encourages the crime to escalate. Although rape is a horrific form of abuse, punishing murder more severely tends to deter rapist from also killing their victims. So by giving rape the death penalty, the rapist loses nothing, but might gain by also committing murder. Don’t get me wrong I think rapist should die too, but I know that will only cause the crime to escalate. Give them there own prison itleast. There not popular amongst the common thieves and murderers and your old pot growing community. Those criminals that live by a criminal code think rapists need to die as well. Put them in general population is a stab at the common criminal. Just kill em. I also consider this a form of rape: A man (in most cases) telling a woman he loves her and that he wants to marry her just so he can sleep with her and then bail out. We have like so many other things put up a huger smokescreen in what may be considered a petty violation or not a crime at all and a serial rapist/child molester and lumped them into the same stigma. This is completely unfair TBH. But that being said a child has the right to grow up safe and taking that away is worse then murder in most cases. Stealing is one thing, murder and rape are crimes against a person's a body, completely different then stealing someone's car or ruining their property. I'd put then to work at the very least. Good, back breaking work with no pay.
