BrooklynGuy Posted March 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2015 (edited) Walmart, were the creatures of the night roam free A restroom at a Wal-Mart in eastern Indiana has been closed indefinitely after an employee discovered a working meth lab inside. State police say a Wal-Mart employee alerted police after seeing a man he described as suspicious enter the restroom about 11:30 p.m. Thursday with a backpack and leave without it. The Star Press reports (http://bit.ly/18o9m0E ) that members of a state police meth suppression team removed the dangerous chemicals. back to earth Posted March 14, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2015 Years ago ( before meth labs) I worked in a department store. During the original fitting out they changed the plan somewhat and turned part of the public area into a store room, it incorporated a rest room, now defunct. The stores guy slid shelving across the door and and people, over time, forgot it existed. He would come in early and move things in there; he had a bed, tv, sound equipment, fridge, freezer, food, small electric grill, etc. No wonder we could never find that guy ! One day security heard music coming from the wall in the store room, they walked around the other side and into the hairdressers that shared the wall, different music ! he paced the rooms out and it didnt work out. Going back to the store he noticed the shelving unit had caster wheels under it, moved it and found the door. They couldnt do anything to the guy but sack him. All the property was still 'in' the store ... he just claimed he stored it in the wrong place yeah .... it could have been a meth lab for what anyone knew ! Lilly Posted March 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 15, 2015 This kind of explains the unusual attire of some Walmart patrons.
Varelse Posted March 15, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 15, 2015 These days the way many police depts and media work "meth lab" was probably just a used plastic coke bottle with some sinus medication dissolving in whatever.
Indiogene Posted March 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2015 Meth labs and Wal-Mart go together like PB&J...just one of many redneck jokes and stereotypes. Meth rampaged rural and small-town America like crack did to the urban black community. I recall reading a study on Wal-marts connected to higher crime, wherever a Wal-Mart is, the local crime rate rises and Wal-Mart itself is the scene of the crime. I figured dollar stores and thrift stores would appeal more to "rednecks", you know the joke? ROFL.
