Dim Witted TV Show Writers

This week I noticed several things that I forwarded to different studio's.

The 1st was on BITTEN - they took pains to zoom in on thick rubber soled shoes-then Elena's b/f ( wearing the shoes) walks through water. Next it shows an switch being thrown on and he gets zapped by electricity.

I know that by 4th or 5th grade most kids (in the US) know that should not happen. So why do it on TV ?

#2. RAZZOLI & ISLES - Every one in the wedding party, except the bride was working the day of the wedding-i got married in 1986 and 2004 and I'm pretty sure its still "fashionable" or in style or whatever the word may be-if your in a wedding-you don't work the day of-too much to do and to go wrong.

#3. GRIMM - a Mexican wrestler does a curtsie instead of a bow-i live in Southern California-and I don't care about any arguments-but really a Macho Mexican Male curtsies instead of bowing ? That is not going to happen unless he's in drag....!!!

#4. ONCE (UPON A TIME) They made Hurcules a good guy again... Come on he was given the list of "impossible tasks" as a punishment. If you haven't read the oldest of those mythologies-Hurcules was a real scum bag-he raped his brother's wife til he knocked her up, he had decades of raping his younger-twin-brother and his twin brother's son (really his son) and lastly he killed his family-granted that last part was under Hera's mind clouding drink-just the 3 cases of raping make him an uber bad guy without any help from Hera. So why does Hollywood always make Hurcules out to be a nice guy ? He's a piece of garbage !!!

Are the writers retarded or do they think we are ?

Well, Once Upon a Time has the Evil Queen from Snow White as one of the good guys, Rumplestiltskin is married to Belle from Beauty and the Beast, Peter Pan is a scary MoFo, ohh and recently Rumplestiltskin was the only person in the town (which includes Robin Hood and Prince Charming) who could draw Excalibur, because he had tricked someone else into taking away his dark side.

It's just television. It's best not to over-think it.

:)

This pretty much sums it up.

I always thought the writers for "Night Court" were sloppy for not playing swanky porn music every time Markie Post walked on set. The angle of the dangle was always switched to north.

It's just fiction man. They are not retarded, nor do they think we are retarded. Perhaps if slight irregularities bother you to this extent- don't watch that stuff. Watch factual and informational shows and documentaries instead. Or read fairy tales and crime stories if watching tv versions is so bothersome.

Sure it's just fiction, but there's a difference between shows which rely on some version of our world to work and shows which are just fantasy (or SF or whatever). If a show relies on bad science, or bad writing, or bad history, or bad characterisation, or bad research, I think it's reasonable to grumble, throw a foam brick at the TV, and change channels.

For example, I was intrigued by the premise of "Glee" when it first came out. But after watching the first episode I lost interest, primarily (though not only) because the main character we were supposed to sympathise with essentially blackmailed a jock footballer into joining the glee club on the basis of knowing he was gay. And the mini-series "Rome" provided a big battle scene which not only bore no resemblance to the battle being portrayed, but looked absurd too (and the sad thing is that portraying that reality might have been easier and certainly would have been more interesting).

By contrast, while the "Hercules" and "Xena" TV series were nominally based on the mythology of ancient Greece, the writers were careful to not take themselves or their history too seriously, and they were a hoot to watch.

Have you ever watched Eastenders?  A soap opera where someone gets murdered every 3 months or so, or develops a drug/booze habit, struggle with debt or gets pregnant.  A few weeks pass and the booze/drug habit has cleared up.  The debts dont stop the characters spending money in the pub and in the launderette.  The father of the newly born child is always a mystery...Every household has a dark secret (and at least one murderer)- in some cases, even the kids do.  Everyone looks glum and when ever something bad happens your haunted by the sound of railway carriages passing by.

I`m becoming concerned though, because there hasnt been a house fire for quite some time now...

I wonder if that "show" will win the 2016 TV Soap awards?...again!

Apparently, even the cast have dubbed it 'The Laughter Factory'!
