I first tried stevia in the 1990s. It's been around as a sugar substitute that long, and I know people who've used it for YEARS ,and years, with no ill affects,at all.
This is the first I've EVER heard it has alleged side affects ,which makes me think its sugar company propaganda .
Don't get me wrong, sugar is my one and only vice ,and this seems like bull to me .
I know for a fact ,that many restaurants now only use truvia .
Stevia ,in the form of truvia ,has become a household item in the USA ,and is on the shelf next to the sugar ,at the supermarket .so..
Back in the old days, you had to buy it at the health food store in liquid form .
I personally ,do not like the taste .I prefer xylitol as a sugar substitute ,but raw sugar is probably the best choice ,in moderation .
Refined sugar is,what's bad for us,and high fructose corn crap .
I use raw sugar and xylitol . You can cook with xylitol .

As per memorial Sloan kettering cancer hospital, who publish nothing without research, say it has anti hypertension ,anti hyperglycemic ,anti tumor ,and anti arrythmic properties .

It can cause nausea and GI upset .People with low blood sugar, need to use with caution .
