who will be the king in about 20 or 30 years

G'day i read in another topic someone mentioned that there was no one to rival the power of the USA and that they said in about 20 to 30 years that China would grow into a super power to rival the USA. What do other people think of this case and what would be the outcomes of this situation.

Because i believe that the USA will still be the only superpower don't get me wrong i think China will grow in wealth and power. But to be able to jump such a huge timeline to equal the yanks on such technology levels and supreme fire power seems far fetch to my view.

As they spent hundreds of billons of dollars to build and create such technology and weapons of death i can't see how China could possibly spend money it dos'nt have to build such technology and weapons .

America has one of the finest militaries the history of mankind has ever seen. And by the time China even comes close to even matching the USA Military might of their killing machines in about 20 to 30 years America will and would of create even more advance devices to distance itself as the supreme superpower that no one can match or rival leading to the yanks leading the free world.

China will come a superpower not to be messed with on it's own rights and abilities in about 20 or 30 so years. As they already have such a huge number of soldiers in their army i think its roughly about 1 million personnel under their wing and increasing including tanks, planes, ships and submarine's. But China needs to find a solution to its problem of it's people with a population of a billion or so how will they feed their people even further their armies, navies and air force yet build upon thier forces with new and advanec technology and weapons.

Super powers are super powers not because of military might, but because of economic might. If the US dollar continues to fall (late 2004) the US could find its way quite quickly into a world it has not seen in awhile.

None ballistic Nukes have changed it all when talking about super powers. One nuke in NYC, Chicago or Los Angeles and you’ll see what I mean. The US is rich because people buy stuff; if people stop buying stuff, say good night too the might – you are going down.

The best way to know the future of mankind in its most basic evolutionary sense, is to look at the past. When a country excedes its own boundry's limitations its only choice for survival is to branch out and expand, whether by peaceful means or in most cases force. Any intelligent gov't opperating today makes its present decisions based on the global outlook of 20+ years from now. At the rate mankind is multiplying and as counrtries become more and more saturated with people it can no longer care for, you WILL see wars and more wars to follow till the end of time. There IS peace, but only between times of war, pray it lasts your lifetime and that of your children. Global peace is a myth, only possible by a people with no imperfections and a common mind set. These conditions do not, and will never exist on this planet. Iam not a pecimist, but a realist. I think the one thing we can learn from our past is that there will always be wars. I long for a peaceful existance but it will never be found here, in an afterlife perhaps, but never here.

Yeah i agree with both of u, U both make really good points ay but what has China got in offer to export to allow their economic structure to boom when they have so many problems to solve like hunger and human rights, what can they add further to the trade table to allow them to profit more, curious.

And also war is bcoming more familiar with today's society it only makes me wonder what is installed for us down the track.

America is also in the position to solve and to correct the problem with their falling dollar so i guess we'll just have to wait and see whats to come.

I kinda went off on a war tangient there. My point is, eventually everything will come to a head. We simply cannot maintain our present global situation, of relative equalibrium. Only time will tell. What scares me is if another World War does occur, nuclear weapons will be at the forefront of any onslaught.

China will come a superpower not to be messed with on it's own rights and abilities in about 20 or 30 so years. As they already have such a huge number of soldiers in their army i think its roughly about 1 million personnel under their wing and increasing including tanks, planes, ships and submarine's. you focus to much on military power. if so then north korea > USA. a high commander who used to serve in south korea admitted it

north korea tactics

i googled the name of the commander and he really did serve in the US army so stop thinking US is the strongest
