11:11 What does it mean?

The last couple of years I have been expierencing something rather odd. No its not any alien implants or stuff like that, it’s the number 11:11. I swear I see this number at least three time a day but I just cant figure out why? I’m sometimes hesitant to look at my watch or an alarm clock because of this; this is really starting to freak me out. crying.gif

Does anyone else have this problem or with any other double numbers?

Example- 12:12, 1:11, 2:22 ext.

This has been discussed on a lot of occasions, but I don't know why it happens. The best answer I have heard for it is, that we might just subconciuosly programme ourselves to be looking for specific times of the day.

Maybe. That 11:11 thing happens to me too. hmm.gif

Number Eleven possesses the qualities of intuition, patience, honesty, sensitivity, and spirituality, and is idealistic. Others turn to people who are 'Eleven' for teaching and inspiration, and are usually uplifted by the experience.

In systems such as Astrology and basic Numerology, eleven is considered to be a Master Number. Eleven can also represent sin; transgression and peril. Ten being the perfect number, eleven represents the exceeding of both. It is interesting to note that eleven when broken down ( 1+1=2) comprises the Two of duality. Number eleven is a master vibration and as such should not be reduced to a single number.People with this number could be both idealistic and visionary, and they are attracted to the unknown. They can be both unusual, interesting and magnetic personalities.

Eleven bring the gift of spiritual inheritance, is gifted as the "Light-Bearer". It is the number of the Light within all. Strengthened by the love of Peace, gentleness, sensitivity and insight. Greatest facility is the awareness of Universal relationship. Is related to the energy of Oppositions and the Balancing needed in order to achieve synthesis. Eleven is The PeaceMaker... Colours : Gold, Salmon, Prune, White and Black.

CSM, The # 8

8 is 7 plus 1. If 7 is completion, and the 7th is Shabbos, the

sanctity inherent in the world, 8 is "beyond nature" and going beyond

the world.

The following was inserted by Dr Isaac Levy to his translation of R'

Samson Refael Hirsch's commentary on the Pentatuech (Numbers 16:41):

The origin of this meaning is to be found in the work of the

Creation. The visible material world created in six days received

with the seventh day a day of remembrance of, and bond with its

invisible L-rd and Creator, and thereby its completed consummation.

Similarly the symbolism of the number seven in the Menora, in the

Temple, in the Mussaf offerings, in the sprinklings of the blood on

Yom Kippur, in the Festivals of Pessach and Succoth, in Sabbath,

Schmita, Tumma etc. etc. The symbolism of the number eight:

starting afresh on a higher level, an octave higher. The eighth day

for Mila, Schmini Atzereth and Israel as the eighth of G-d.s

Creations. With the creation of Israel G-d laid the groundwork for

a fresh, higher mankind and a fresh higher world, for that shamayim

chadashim [new heavens] and the aretz chadashah [new earth] for

which Israel and its mission is to be the beginning and instrument.

[The Hebrew is a reference to Isaiah 65:17.]

So that there are three elements in us. (a) our material sensuous

bodies, like the rest of the created visible world = 6; (cool.gif the

breath of free will, invisible, coming from the Invisible One = 7;

© the calling of Jew, coming from the historical choice of Israel

= 8.

The highest drive Rav Samson Rephael Hirsch calls the drive to be

beyond human. To go beyond the seven days of creation and into the

eighth day of the bris. This is the neshamah, which lives in a higher

realm, constantly seeking communion with Hashem. The idea that eight

represents "an octave higher" can be seen in the form of the letter

ches. Its shape as written in the Ashkenazi variant of Assyrian

Script, the script used in Sifrei Torah, is that of two zayin's

connected by a bridge. Zayin is seven in gematria. Ches is eight. Ches

shows the bridge between one seven, one complete world, and the next.

and number 38

The noun "atomic number 38" has 1 senses.

1. strontium, Sr, atomic number -- a soft silver-white or yellowish metallic element of the alkali metal group; turns yellow in air; occurs in celestite and strontianite

This is soooo cool that you wrote this! I think I have answers for you!!

As long as I can remeber, I have seen 11:11 all the time!!! Not 44:44, or 3:33, or 12:12, but always 11:11;. I would tell people this all the time, seeking for answer, as it WAS ALL the time! Too repeated for me to ignore after years! People would chalk it up to coincidence or blow it off like nothing. When I was dating my now husband years ago, I told him, and he gave me that look like I was nuts; like, "why are you making sich a deal out of nothing, really?" I'd get frustrated, because I knew it meant something for the longest time! I just didnt know what. Ok, then after years, my HUSBAND starting seeing it all the time. He started to wonder, now believing this cant be a coincidence.

I heard in a Yahoo club that there is this book by someone that said 11:11 meant it was like a spirit guide or angel or God talking to you, telling you to stop and think about where you are in life, at that moment, and you were supposed to ask yourself, honestly, if you were proud of who you were and what you have done in the last few days....I thought that concept was interesting, but it just didnt seem right to me.

Ok, so, one day I am in church, and I hear the pastor bring up 11:11...I listened so intently, but he was just referring to something in the past, and because I was new, I didnt know what it meant!!

So, I asked a member of the church.

She explained to me, it meant, in the NKJV of the Bible, Psalm 111:1 is directly the middle of the Bible, and it simply states what we need to do: "Praise the Lord".

There is this story that goes with why the pastor realized it was Psalm 111:1, but, I had to test this theory out. So the next few times I would see 11:11, I would do just that- praise God. And you would not believe the feeling that came over me! It's awesome! Amazing! I would life my hands and praise God, or even quietly, talk to Him, thanking Him for everything He has done in my life. I then KNEW this is what it meant- by the wonderful things that happened. And here is the neat part of this story- my husband tested this theory out, too, without me knowing...he did the same thing, and had the same results. It's like getting the most comforting and best hug from someone you love- ever!!

Very cool!

Not that 11:11 is anything in itself, but it is God's way of making you consciously stop and think and do something (acknowledge Him) when you normally wouldn't.

God is all about numbers, and I truly beieve this is what it means.

I dont know if you beieve in God or not, but He does say "try me" and if you do, do it with a sincere heartm and believe, and maybe you will have the same results!

Thanks for the info in your last post, 101. That stuff on the number 8 is fascinating. Looks like a very significant and good number. original.gif

Kinda a little off-topic here, as it's not a double number, but my brother-in-law, Dan, has always looked at clocks just at 9:11. And this started WAAYYYY before the whole 9/11 thing. I can remember him weirding out about it since I met him, and that was 7 years ago.

But maybe it is just that we happen to look at the clock at certain times of the day, and are thereafter programmed to look at it at the same times in the future.

However, there is an interesting thing to add here. My Father-in-law (Dan's father) was at work one morning while his father (Dan's & my hubby's grandpa) was sick in the hospital. This was while I had just begun dating my hubby, so I didn't know him very well at this point. Well, their dad stopped *right* in the middle of what he was doing, looked down at his watch, and told himself, "Dad's gone." I forget the exact time, but it was around 9 a.m. Well, later, when the hospital called to inform him of Grandpa's death, he asked what the exact time of death was, and it was at the *very* moment he'd looked at his watch. Crazy, huh?

Oh, and also, the day he died, I was writing poems (as I usually did). Out of the blue, I got a sad feeling, and started writing a poem called "In Heaven", and was in the voice of a person who's been left behind by a loved one who's passed on. Well, that night, my then-boyfriend called me and told me "Grandpa died this morning." I told him about the poem I wrote, and we cried with each other. See, he was *very* close with his grandpa -- closer than any of his siblings -- in fact, every once in a while I'll see him looking sad and when I ask him, he says "I miss my grandpa."

Oh, another side note....the whole time Grandpa was in the hospital, he'd ask every morning if it was snowing, 'cuz he loved to watch the snow fall. The morning he died, it snowed (I believe it was Nov. 24th, 1998) for the first time that season.
