Still Waters Posted December 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 18, 2014 A brownish creature, with sharp teeth and claws, is deceased on the beach in Santa Barbara after the latest storm, and many people are wondering what it is. http://www.keyt.com/...-beach/30264212
KevinP Posted December 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 18, 2014 It's probably a seal, but I have to say this is an example of someone who's trying to make news and not reporting the actual facts. One shot, head on, cocked out of square, no other photos.....which would have been really easy to get. It's dead, it's not moving, but then we might have seen it was simply a dead seal and where is the story in that?
Insanity Posted December 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 18, 2014 I do not think it is a seal, the front limbs are not flippers. Initial guess is a raccoon or badger, but there's not much for a scale to judge size.
Earl.Of.Trumps Posted December 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2014 If I had to guess.... I'd say a bear with its fur removed
Junior Chubb Posted December 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 18, 2014 Nothing like a bit of bloating and decomposition to spark a badly reported and non newsworthy storey...
