Hoping for some help regarding a haunting..

Now, to be quite honest, I'm not actually sure this is a haunting - I truthfully am at a loss - so any help would be appreciated! (This is also my first post, so.. Hello, I'm new here, lol.)

So, my Mum recently met this man, and he seems decent, which is something that's already strange, because most men are morons - including myself. But, from the moment I actually met him in person, I felt like there was something 'different' about him; a sort of overwhelming vibe. At first, I thought it was nothing, but then I went to his house one night, and well.. the power inside that place was insanely immense. It didn't feel evil, nor did it feel good, it just felt once again, overwhelming...

One night, my Mum came home in an awfully baffled state, after being out with him somewhere. She wouldn't tell me what was wrong, but she started asking me if I thought she was interested in the colour purple. Now, I was basically like:- ''How the hell would I know? I'm not you..'' But, I suggested pink and she suddenly looked relived. On-top of that, she began to express the fact that this man was very 'special' and was not like other men; that he literally knew things about her past that she hadn't ever told anyone, that he knew they were going to meet each other before it happened, and that he had 'the sight' or something. My Mum suggested it was like the little kid off The Shining novel/film. Eventually she explained this to me properly, the truth behind what actually happened that night..

They were both sitting at a table in a restaurant, and he randomly said her hands were turning purple. She started to press him about the matter, but he was reluctant and tried to change the subject, then literally started speaking to something invisible next to him, saying:- ''No, I can't tell her that, no!'' And my Mum began to get freaked-out, scared and he then explained that he was speaking to a 'man'. He said this man had been with him most of his life - even as a child - and that the man tells him things that'll happen in the future, and things from the past. He also said that the man wanted my Mum to know that her Grandma was trying to contact her, and that was the reason for the purple colour around her hands; because her Grandma's favourite colour was actually purple, but he never knew this.

He carried on explaining and shocking my Mum with facts about her childhood that she'd never told anyone in her life. He told her that he knew they'd meet before it happened, and that this man was telling him everything, and as this was happening; he was actually having a conversation with this invisible man next to him at the restaurant table in-front of my Mum!

Now, my Mum is a Christian woman, usually, she's not keen to even talk about this type of subject, but she seemed amazed, yet terrified but adamant that he was telling the truth. I myself am a sceptic when it comes to Religion, but I'm interested in it more than most subjects, also Folklore, History, etc. I am studying most of these subjects right now in my free-time, because I'm planning a book series. I also suffer from chronic Sleep Paralysis. Recently I've been waking-up on my bedroom floor with no recollection of how I got there, so.. I'm the most open-minded guy you'll come across - lol.. But, I'm digressing!

This invisible man that he claims is telling him all this has features that my Mum shared with me:

- He wears a suit, a top-hat, round glasses and carries a swordstick

- He knows the future and the past

- He obviously can communicate with the dead (because of my Mum's Grandma)

- Invisible to anyone he chooses

- He looks middle-aged

That's all the features I know so far.

So, that's basically it. Once again, any help would be appreciated to help understand this situation - thanks!

I wouldn't rule out undiagnosed schizophrenia. Unless you ask him if he has a diagnisis. If it hasn't been ruled out, something to consider.

schizophrenia symptoms

Hallucinations

A hallucination is when a person experiences a sensation but there is nothing or nobody there to account for it. A hallucination can involve any of the senses, but the most common is hearing voices.

Hallucinations are very real to the person experiencing them, even though people around them cannot hear the voices or experience the sensations. Research using brain-scanning equipment shows changes in the speech area of the brain in people with schizophrenia when they hear voices. These studies show the experience of hearing voices as a real one, as if the brain mistakes thoughts for real voices.

Some people describe the voices they hear as friendly and pleasant, but more often they are rude, critical, abusive or annoying. The voices might describe activities taking place, discuss the hearer’s thoughts and behaviour, give instructions or talk directly to the person. Voices may come from different places or one place in particular, such as the television.

Delusions

A delusion is a belief held with complete conviction, even though it is based on a mistaken, strange or unrealistic view. It may affect the way people behave. Delusions can begin suddenly or may develop over weeks or months.

Some people develop a delusional idea to explain a hallucination they are having. For example, if they have heard voices describing their actions, they may have a delusion that someone is monitoring their actions. Someone experiencing a paranoid delusion may believe they are being harassed or persecuted. They may believe they are being chased, followed, watched, plotted against or poisoned, often by a family member or friend.

Some people who experience delusions find different meanings in everyday events or occurrences. They may believe people on TV or in newspaper articles are communicating messages to them alone, or that there are hidden messages in the colours of cars passing in the street.

I do believe folk have psychic intuition, my mother saw a psychic who's notorious in the town, she doesn't take fees, people still leave donations, this was way before internet and facebook browsing and the like obviously, she got the exact name of a work colleague of my mother's during nurse training, who died, the exact date and name (which wasn't common or anything) and my mother wasn't even close with this person but she remembered her. She gave the first name and last initial of my stepdad five years before they met, yeah that's not that impressive but still quite a guess, she told a specific recurrent event related to my grandma who died 'she's burning the rice pudding again and you're late for school again', which happened almost every week, again, yes she coulda guessed it but what a weird thing to state lol.

Welcome, sounds like a spiritual guide to me, not that I have one.

You know that maybe saying things that he didn't know, might be maybe.....amazing so to speak. It could be he is this 'gifted', I wouldn't rule that out, or that he is really good at his guessing or has ways, I have seen some who are this good, but there would always be that thing about talking to no one. Even if it's the truth, someone is there, like a spirit or what not, I would still feel very 'unedge' about it.

The "overwhelming" thing uses to be when people make you feel less than them, or you consider yourself less when you compare your energy with his. It is about who' s energy is stronger than who' s, who dominates who and what the dominant person makes feel to the dominated one. However, it isn' t healthy to feel less than the other, the dominant person should have to help the weaker one to feel better, to bring the best part of his (her) self.

You said you "suffer" of sleep paralysis. Why do you call that "suffering"?. I have had sleep paralysis all my life and I see it like a powerful gift, I use it like a gateway for out body experiences, astral projections and lucid dreaming, and wait for them to happen like golden opportunities to explore the marvels of the spiritual world.

I read many mones ago of what people call "guides" that as you get older you stop seeing and talking to.

its the child with an invisible friend, and the more you told they dont exsist the less you see them.

So i dont really believe in all that but could just be a guy that was told his invisible friend was real and he carried on believing in it and its his "guide"

Or could be LSD or a con artist lol :)

Hope you get the answers you looking for
