Hubby and I hunt.  Elk and deer.  Hubby used to contract with the local BLM for varmint control.  We also fish.  We eat what we kill.  We have the evil mounted heads in our home and *gasp* even fish mounted.

Hubby used to do the varmint control for the ranchers and BLM because of the damage that beavers, badgers, prairie dogs, coyotes, etc. do to the stock and property.  Humans have managed to wipe out most of the natural predators.  No predators means starvation and disease for the animals.

BUT we also own guns because we enjoy shooting and competition.  (Usually with each other.)

Did you read the article?  It's clearly explained that some of the funding goes for this exact thing.  Even the little quip in the first picture shows a professional training a young person.

99% of hunters also agree.  Who here has posted that they like killing for the sake of killing?  Please point it out.

Did you read the article?  It's clearly explained that some of the funding goes for this exact thing.  Even the little quip in the first picture shows a professional training a young person.

that does not reflect reality.hunting pests doesn't involve eating them, however there is nothing wrong with having fun blasting prairy dogs, rats, jackrabbits, cayoties....etc and other vermins.

You've made judgmental and condescending comments about my country while not trying to understand what we are saying to you.  Yes, it makes me "tetchy".  It also makes me "tetchy" for some uninformed person to make the same type of comments about anything with the same type of arrogant attitude.

You've been given many decent and accurate answers.  You either ignore them or just don't like them.

Actually everything you just said there is very snooty and antagonizing. Anyone ever ask you over and over if you're cranky and you keep saying no until finally you become very cranky. It's called pushing buttons and you're button pushing finger is going to get swollen with those type of remarks.
