cladking Posted May 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) The pyramids were the kings' "instruments of ascension". The word "pyramid" was spelled "mr" in Egyptian and meant, literally, "instrument to ascend" or "instument of ascension". It was Osiris in his name of "Seker" meaning "come to me" who sat in the []nw- boat which was the counterweight that lifted the king's boat to heaven in the land of the horizon. It was the ladder built on the primordial mound on which Anubis presided and Osiris flowed. It was the weight of Seker in the counter- weight which provided the "pdw.s" to raise the king or the stones to the top of the pyramid up to a "bowshot" (300') at a time. The primordial mounds were conically shaped stones laid down like stalagmites where carbonated water oozed and spurted up through the Earth. They were associated with Atum whom created Himself and the most important was shipped to a temple in Heliopolis. These stones literally fell from the sky; molecule by molecule. It was at these sites that the cavern was drilled and cold water geysers resulted. These (the geysers) rose through the Eyes of Horus, and it was Horus who presided over the land of the geysers and rainbows; who was appointed to preside in his fat- her's house and who represented these uplands and the king himself. Osiris was born between years to appease a god and these days in early July represented the ending of one year and the beginning of another. They just happened to preceed the inundation which not only came to the Nile Valley dis- placing the fields and farmers but it came to the uplands as well. It was at the start of the inundation that "royal funerals" were typically undertaken. It was when the geysers came to life and work could resume on these instruments to ascend. There are numerous clues in the Pyramid Texts just what was entailed in these ceremonies. 1516a. N. is come to thee, mother of N.; he is come to Nut. 150b. Make the sky mount for N.; place the stars upside down for him. It appears they took place at dawn. N (the dead king) is on his way to Nut (the sky). The instrument of ascension is the "sky mount". The stars are upside down because Egyptians are always oriented to the south. The king sits in the Ma'at-boat on the south side of the pyramid so sees the stars upside down. Ma'at represents a balance; the balance between a man's heart and a feather. If it weighs the same as a feather he can attain the afterlife. This balance is be- tween the weight of Seker and the weight of the stones. Utterance 257. 304a. To say: There is a clamour in heaven. 304b. "We see a new thing," say the primordial gods. 304c. O Ennead, a Horus is in the rays of the sun. 304d. The lords of form serve him, 304e. the Two Enneads entire serve him, So what might be so different, so unusual that it could possibly make the Gods sit up and take notice? So much of this religion finds itself into the Bible yet here we have "a clamour in heaven" when there is nothing new under the sun for the next several thousand years. After June 23rd or so the south side of the pyramid will be in shade. Here we have a Horus ascending to heaven in "the rays of the sun". The inundation came early. cladking Posted May 13, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) Drat. The date of the sunrise being north of east is way off. It negates the last interpretation and ruins the thead. As nearly as I can tell the sun should go north around late March/ early April at this latitude. It's hard to believe the inundation might come so early.
