Go Ducks......

Vernon Adams Jr.

The name will be well known around October.

I'd really like to think this is Oklahoma's year to go all the way... But we have too many question marks on both sides of the ball...

That being said, GO OU!

Vols might have something this year :gun:

As a BAMA fan I find the forum name "use your brain" to be incompatible with being a 10rc fan. Anyone actually using their brain would NOT be a 10rc fan, or an auburn fan for that matter!!

We all know logic goes out the window when it comes to pulling for your team

Also I'm going to laugh extra hard if you guys go down to us this year, stranger things have happened.

True. Y'all are due, but lets hope not this year, or next, or the one after that, etc.

I see that Ohio St is the Vegas (LVSportsBook) favorite at 7/2, followed by BAMA at 6/1. We don't even have a QB but we're 6/1? Hope they know something I don't.

TCU 8/1

USC 15/1

Baylor 15/1

Auburn 15/1

UCLA 18/1

Damn....Still have 4 more months before kick off, and the smack talk is starting :)

To bad the Ducks did not play Bama in the championship last year.....I would have been able to say Oregon won a championship in my lifetime if they had....

Good luck to you this year, and me also.....I think we both might need a bit of it.

Haha. We'd have beaten y'all like a rented mule.

I get to say that BAMA has won 10 championships in my lifetime. It's great to be a BAMA fan.

We need a So Cal fan to pipe in. IIRC you are the only PAC-12 here.

Interesting to see where Golston ends up. Hoping not at BAMA. Not that he isn't better than anything we currently have, but I don't like rent-a-players (transfers with one year left). I hope David Cornwell wins the job because we'll have him for a few more years.

Good luck to your team too. I think you're right, we'll both need some.

I am in trouble all around......

Not really into the NFL much anymore, but my team is the Eagles.....

And, as you know, Oregon for College....

And, I turned 49 today.

I have seen some people on this forum from Arizona. Strange that not many people from the " west side " seem to chime in on this topic..

Golson signs with FSU. It's not looking good for the Irish this season :passifier: I'll go out on a limb here and pick my four playoff teams Ohio State, TCU, Michigan and Auburn. I think I read somewhere that the NCAA can't change the playoff system from 4 to 8 teams until 2018, did anyone else hear that?

BAMA will take care of auburn. Don't see Ohio St and Mich both making the playoffs (or two teams from any conference). I'll go with Ohio St (hard not to with what they have returning), TCU (someone from the Big XII will make it this year), FSU (easy schedule), and either Oregon or So Cal. I think this is the year the SEC eats its own and doesn't have any team in the playoffs.

I hope they keep it as 4 teams. 8 is too many, IMO.

Notre Dame is the greatest team of all time and to all who disagree I have this to say.

http://www.dailymoti...-ever-heard_fun

Well BAMA has more Championships, no matter how you count them. :innocent:

Plus 2 of ND's (1966 and 1977) rightfully belong to BAMA. :w00t:

Nice to see a new thread already started guys, nothing brings out trash talk like college football

lol!

Im still about the same as i was on my last picks for the upcoming season, but have questions still about TCU and USC...TCU lost alot of that stout D,same with USC plus sc is moving around some of their best pieces.

I see the SEC west winner being Bama or Auburn playing the vols for a spot in the playoff...(Georgia will pull a Clemson, beat bama make to the end of the season then get taken down)

I will be pulling for AU but already way to much preseason hype,Auburn is always much better as an underdog team! Not much hope for my LSU tigers this season,Myles seems to think he can pull off the 2 Qb system but thats not going to happen with the 2 he has!

Teams that have a successful past care about it. Part of what makes college football the greatest sport of all, IMO, is the Tradition, which is all about the past.

Good luck to your Ducks. Do you think you have another year or two before the window closes? By that I mean until So Cal reclaims the top spot in the PAC-12. :innocent: Sanctions are done and aftereffects will be gone soon. Y'all better make hay while the sun is still shining.

Actually wondering about our team this year. They say the defense is back after the debacle at the end of last year but only games will prove if that is true. Wonder who our QB will be. Wonder who will step up on the OL. Wonder which DB's will stand out, if any. Wonder, wonder, wonder. But then I was thinking the same things last year and while the end of the year was disappointing, 11-2 SEC champs with a berth in the playoffs really isn't that bad, even for us BAMA fans! :w00t:

How do you see ND doing? I'm thinking BAMA will probably end up 10-2 for the regular season with the two loses coming in the conference.

The Irish have a light schedule compared to years past so they may go 9-3. Unfortunately they don't have the players to make a run for a title or the top ten for that matter. Golson leaving for FSU speaks volumes about this years team. They will be competitive but up and down from week to week, maybe they make the year end top 25. On the other hand The Tide will have another great year by anyone's measure except maybe Bama fans. You guys are used to playing for all the marbles every year, so I'm guessing that anything less than a playoff appearance would be a disappointment for many Bama faithful.

It's like many BAMA fans have forgotten the mid 1990's to the mid 2000's, when we just hoped to beat auburn and tenn and maybe make a bowl game. I'm old enough to remember the 1980's also. I really appreciate the run we have had lately, but it's not like we have been good for decades. I'm also old enough to have lived through the Bear years, attending BAMA during his last years (78-83).

My favorite quote about BAMA fans comes from Kenny "Snake" Stabler. When asked BAMA about fans he said: "They talk about the Alabama family not being reasonable and realistic. Well hell no, we're not supposed to be reasonable and realistic. We're Alabama -- we're supposed to be the best."
