THE MATRIX Posted March 25, 2010 #1 Share Posted March 25, 2010 link Democrats shouldn't expect much cooperation from Republicans the rest of this year, Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) warned Monday. McCain and another Republican senator decried the effect health reform legislation has had on the Senate, a day after the House passed the upper chamber's bill. GOP senators emerged Monday to caution that the health debate had taken a toll on the institution, warning of little work between parties the rest of this year. "There will be no cooperation for the rest of the year," McCain said during an interview Monday on an Arizona radio affiliate. "They have poisoned the well in what they've done and how they've done it."

Torgo Posted March 26, 2010 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2010 And an institution that should be about serving the national interest once again decays into bickering and stupidity. Perhaps this will get the institution as a whole closer to being unable to get anything done, though - the less they do the less chance they have to mess things up. Personally, I hope that the next election leads to a PERFECTLY tied congress unable to pass anything. All the less for them to damage.
Siara Posted March 26, 2010 #7 Share Posted March 26, 2010 Why would we expect any cooperation for the rest of the year when we haven't had any so far?
