Selfie stick unintentionally films pickpocket

This is the moment a musician unintentionally filmed a brazen pickpocket steal a mobile phone from his jacket as he walked through packed crowds gathered to watch the Pope in Ecuador.

Diego Mino, who plays drums in a local band, was using a selfie stick to film an audience of up to one million people who gathered in the capital Quito on Tuesday for a mass by the Pope.

But as he manoeuvred through the crowds, filming from above on a GoPro camera, a man can be seen following him. When Mr Mino eventually stops, the pickpocket slips his hand into the musician's jacket and steals his mobile phone before disappearing back into the crowd.
