I don't like any of the "celebrity" reality shows.   Has-been's or never-will-be's doing stupid crap (dancing, diving) doesn't interest me at all.

I disagree with Pawn Stars.   I DVR it so I can watch each episode.   I like to see the stuff that comes in.    I think most of it is staged, but I still like it.

Errrrr, penthouse and the playboy channel,et al ,and crap like girls gone wild ,do EXACTLY that .They objectify and exploit  women.Women don't want their men watching it ,but you've never heard of a man keeping his wife from watching The View.  And .... idiot men PAY TO WATCH these shows  .
At least women are smart enough to give pay back by doing it on regular tv ,for free. Lol ,

Ummm...ok.....Objectify and exploit women?I have never heard any reports of these poor exploited women offering to give all the money they made back just to have their images removed.Women dont want their men watching it?Kind of strange a study from about 1 year ago showed that almost half of all porn viewed on the net was by women...Most of the garbage reality shows on tv have female majority viewers....American Idol,Real Housewives,Kardashians,16 and pregnant, and many more shows most complain about ruining tv and young minds have a large female fanbase....Payback?..Ok if thats what you want to call freely spewing trash onto others.

Mostly agreed,my main problem with pawn stars is since it started History Channel went from being in my top 3 to watch to almost never watching it at all.To many swamp shows, ice road truckers, axe men,and all that garbage i do not care to watch as it has nothing to do with history.History Channel has started to go the way of MTV where the name of the channel makes no sense anymore.I watch Pawn Stars for the same reason.

While I agree with most of you that reality TV is by and large.......trash, there is one channel that I thoroughly enjoy and that's the Investigation discovery channel. I love real crime documentary shows.

Also, The First 48 on the A & E channel is a favorite of mine. I realize that others may not like this genre, but many like myself do......

I agree with the downfall of The History Channel.    History is not a good name for their channel anymore.   Ancient Aliens and big rig bounty hunters have proved that.

Yes, as a man I wish I could let my TV know that I am a man and that I don't want to see any commercials for feminine hygiene products, makeup commercials, fashion commercials, hair miracle shampoos, or anything else that is geared towards women only.........oh well, a guy can dream......until then, there's always the remote control.....

What annoys me most is the people watching this garbage.

They wouldn't put it on if people didn't watch it. Society is creating these horrible programs.

What they did to MTV is shameful. I'm not even sure how they get by still calling it Music TV???

Makes me wonder if the name "Mindless TV" Is taken by somebody else. Maybe that's why they've stuck with the old name.

While I absolutely agree with you here... Society does create these horrible programs, but these programs also create society - shape it anyway...

If all of these shows went away and (by some miracle) 'they' start creating shows that are actually worthy of watching... eventually no one would miss the old crap...

I really miss shows like Steve Allen's "A Meeting Of Minds"...

True, but if society didn't watch it it would have to go away as well, as there would be no ratings. Double edged sword I guess. lol

Most of the reality shows are horrible.....Jersey shore.......and all like it. Never should have been on TV to begin with and what passes for comedy now is crazy. Let's get some stupid guys to kill themselves horribly and laugh at it. Give me a break.

Unlike the three stoogies.

I am a Mormon.  If I don't use Mormons believe, those my beliefs only.
I do not go to church haven't for thirty years.
There are other Mormons on this site. So if I have misspoken about the beliefs. I welcome their input.
I am not perfect and never will be. I do strive to be true to myself. I do my best to stay true to the Mormon faith. Thanks for caring and if you don't peace be with you.
