Rottweilers

Clairvoyance

Recommended Posts

Alright! So this particular event happened back in October, though I thought it would be intriguing enough to share.

I usually get home very late, but I was able to get home early from school with my sister, to which we made like stereotypical teenagers and decided to use our extra time to catch up on much needed sleep. After a while, I was unceremoniously woken up from my spot on the couch by my dog barking at the front door- this unusually deep territorial bark that I hadn't heard her make before. I bolted up and headed cautiously for the door to find out which unfortunate salesman was there (obviously there was no one else home but the two of us so I was already a little on edge) and was met with two Rottweilers standing right at the porch, one of them holding something in its mouth that I assumed was a toy of some kind.

They each had collars and were absolutely covered in mud (my house is at the edge of a forest with a river out back), and were just sort of staring at me through the side window of the door, completely ignoring my own dog who I quickly put in the other room to calm down.

I opened the door slightly to try and see their collars (no doubt their owner was worried about them), and one dog pushed his forehead against my hand while the other ground his teeth against the thing in his mouth and dropped half of it at my feet. The two then ran off before I could get a look at their tags, never making a sound as they went. The thing in the dogs mouth turned out to be the jawbone of a skull, something smallish with sharp teeth.

I've never seen them after that, though my friends and sister joke that I'm 'cursed', as a few odd occurrences have taken place- namely deceased sparrows popping up inexplicably in my yard from time to time. But hey, that might just be a coincidence.

Extra Notes: I had my phone on me and managed to snap a couple of photos for evidence (I've been trying to get them to not be sideways...I'll fiddle with it more later, sorry!) You can see the dog in the red collar still has his half of the skull in his mouth, funnily enough. It also might be worth noting that this was specifically on that blood moon day on October 8th, if that adds to the oddity for anyone.

My Cousin (Who lives in the apartment above my house) used to own a Rottweiler and I can tell you, he used to try to escape from the yard (and succeeded a few times) and LOVED to wander.

Can't really see much in the first photo. Is that the jaw?

Ah sorry, yes it is! I know they're a bit blurry since my phone doesn't take the best of pictures, haha.

There's nothing quite like the curiosity of dogs! I do worry though- just today I had to help a dog that fell into the river when it was frozen over, poor thing! Luckily its safe and warm now. :)

Did you take the photo of the dogs behind a glass panel or window?

I can see orbs around them. I want to rule out light reflecting off glass.

Sorry I can't make out what the first picture is of.

I apologize for the first pictures quality, I'll try and edit it later. It's the jawbone of the skull- it's dirty from mud and hard to make out.

It was taken from behind a window yes, so the orbs are probably just reflected light.

Interesting. It doesn't sound paranormal, but it does sound odd. Is your dog regularly loud? If it is, the others could have heard her and homed in on the position. Or, they smelled her in the yard and went to say hello, since dogs aren't stupid and they likely figured out that the door was the best way in.

As for the jaw, they probably either found it or killed/ate something. They're animals, after all.

Either way, cool story, thanks for sharing, and welcome to UM.
