Bracket Posted December 3, 2010 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Who do you think is the best actor to officially play James Bond? I'll make a list for my favorites. 1. Timothy Dalton 2. Daniel Craig 3. Sean Connery 4. Pierce Brosnan 5. Roger Moore 6. George Lazenby And, to get some good conversation, as an add on to the topic, What's your favorite Bond film, who's your favorite Bond villain, and who's the best Bond Girl? My favorite film is Casino Royale, my favorite Bond Villain is Goldfinger, and my favorite Bond Girl is Honey Ryder (Ursula Andress ). So, what's your favorite? Bracket Posted December 3, 2010 Author #3 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Sean Connery was the best Bond, my favorite Bond movie is "The man with the Golden Gun", Favorite villain is GoldFinger and Favorite Bond girl is Mary Goodnight. What makes you say Connery is the best? I was thinking of having Scaramanga be my favorite too, but i like Goldfinger just a little bit more. I forgot about Goodnight. She is hot. Hazzard Posted December 3, 2010 #4 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Im in the SC generation, but I really liked Brosnan in his first, Goldeneye. Best Bond babe(s)....
JonathanVonErich Posted December 3, 2010 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2010 I don't know, nothing like the original i guess. Maybe I say Connery because I really love the old James Bond movies, I like the "vintage" feeling these movies have. I think Daniel Craig is great too. My list would be: 1. Sean Connery 2. Daniel Craig 3. Roger Moore 4. Timothy Dalton 5. Pierce Brosnan 6. George Lazenby Scaramanga is great but yeah, to me Goldfinger is the ultimate Bond villain. Bracket Posted December 3, 2010 Author #6 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Im in the SC generation, but I really liked Brosnan in his first, Goldeneye. Best Bond babe(s).... My problem with Connery is that he played it TOO cool, and he just wasn't believable to me. Are those supposed to be in order?
Coffey Posted December 3, 2010 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) The real question is would you still? lol 1. Timothy Dalton 2. Sean Connery 3. Roger Moore 4. Daniel Craig 5. George Lazenby 6. Pierce Brosnan The top 2 I'm not sure on, as I like Sean Connery a lot as an actor. Edited December 3, 2010 by Coffey

Coffey Posted December 3, 2010 #10 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Coffey You actually have Lazenby above Craig and Brosnan? How does that happen? I edited it now to put Craig above Lazenby... as I meant to before. I jsut really dislike Brosnan as an actor, I have not liked him in anything and he irritates the hell out of me. lol

Bracket Posted December 3, 2010 Author #14 Share Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) I hear that daniel craig does the character closest to the original book's james bond... Yeah, he does. Dalton was pretty close too. Moore and Lazenby were probably the farthest from the character. I've been reading the books. Coffey Posted December 3, 2010 #15 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Brosnan irritates me too. Im not sure why exactly, hes not horrible, but I was more than happy to see him replaced. I think he looked and came across more as the poncy British guy and to me that didn't work for James Bond. Daniel Craig has a harder look about him which works a lot better, especially for a modern James Bond.
JonathanVonErich Posted December 3, 2010 #16 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Of course Ursula Andress is a classic.
Bracket Posted December 3, 2010 Author #17 Share Posted December 3, 2010 Yeah I don't like Brosnan, horrible actor. and Olga Kurylenko was really hot in Quantum of Solace. I think he actually did a decent job as Bond. Not the best, but i'd say he was better than Moore. Yeah, i've liked her since she was just in modeling. JonathanVonErich Posted December 3, 2010 #21 Share Posted December 3, 2010 (edited) Well i'm sure girls will come and tell us how Daniel Craig or Pierce Brosnan looks great. Daniel Craig has a harder look about him which works a lot better, especially for a modern James Bond. He did for sure. The newer bonds I think are suppose to be closer to the books. Besides, I dont normally have a problem with chest hair, but Brosnan always reminded me of Austin Powers.
