Dream Interpretation - White Hair

Good morning UM! I've never asked for a dream interpretation here before, but from perusing related threads occasionally I can tell that some of you are quite adept at it.

This is really short and sweet: I'm looking for meaning behind white hair. In my dream, this particular sequence was very brief but also very striking. I saw myself from the outside (possibly looking at a mirror?) and noticed my hair was long and thick and very, very white. The front chunk of my hair was white as a ghost, which I ran my fingers through and turned my head to the side to show that all the hair on the side of my head was also brilliantly white.

For reference, my (real) hair is very dark and usually cut pretty short. So what does lots of ivory white hair suggest?

Thanks all.

Are you nervous or worried about ageing? Has something recently happened that made you realise you are not the invulnerable to everything/death youth you once were?

Nope. No worries. I've accepted my mortality. I wasn't concerned in my dream, mostly curious when I saw all that white hair.

Well in that case it could mean that you acknowledge that you are getting older as white hair is obviously associated with old age. The fact that the hair was thick and long shows that you are fit and healthy or at least perceive yourself to be. With age comes wisdom and so you look at yourself and in your minds eye see yourself as growing mentally stronger whilst ageing and at the same time retaining good health. Also over time you have learned a lot more about yourself and know you will continue to do so as time ticks on.

And/or maybe you have friends or family that you have spoken to or seen recently and their health and ageing is far worse than yours, so in your dream your subconscious mind was just doing a quick health check to make sure you were not on the same destructive path as them. Maybe someone who has aged rapidly due to a lifestyle or too much stress or drinking or smoking etc.

I had a dream where I was in a relationship (not a real relationship) with a guy that stressed me out so bad that all my hair turned gray. My dream was a warning not to get involved in a stressful situation. White hair seems more brilliant however. How did the white hair make you feel? When I saw my gray hair in the dream it made me worried. But perhaps if it made you have a different emotion it may have a different meaning for you. Long white hair can be quite beautiful and associated with wisdom and perhaps some mystery like a Gandolf character or some such thing.

"The hair on his head was white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire." Rev 1:14

To have white hair is related to a crown of righteousness. It's a symbol of goodness, justice and honor. Long hair is associated with splendor and royalty.

A few quick Google searches seem to support what you guys have said; white hair is associated with wisdom, higher understanding, righteousness, etc. In any case, I only found one negative interpretation. The only real change in my life lately is a very intense interest into the knowledge of the ancient Egyptians. I can't seem to learn enough about that fascinating civilization (hence the new avatar of the god Osiris). The timing of the white hair dream is noted...I feel encouraged to follow this path and see what doors will open next.

Hi, guys:) I really appreciate this thread about dream interpretation and I'm so interested about each meaning. However, I have not dreamed yet about white hair, though I want to ask when you dream about blood and lots of it inside the bathroom. Anyone here who knows exactly the meaning of such dream? I hope you could give an idea.

Who's blood was it in the bathroom. yours someone you suspect or just blood out of nowhere?

Dreaming of having white and thick hair is as someone already posted, representing wisdom etc.

Running your fingers through it, means consideration for your wisdom, a very good move.

I took time to read through these replies before deciding to respond but I'd like to share some of my own dreaming with you. Since I was about eight years old I've been dreaming of people with white hair. Initially, there were only two, a set of twins -one girl and one boy. They were often shown hand in hand. They appeared again in 1998. In 2001, I encountered a young boy with white hair and deep blue eyes who showed me a dark coming storm from the East and two threads of light -one red and one white. In 2005 I'd encounter a similar white-haired figure but with large silver eyes. His facial proportions were strange and he was wrapped in a kind of black, thick cocoon before rising up before watery depths. This figure's cocoon turned out to be large, thick black wings. He began in the South and turned to fly East. In 2009, the male and female figures as children reappeared. They are showed to me being separated from each other. The girl figure was extremely distraught at the loss of what she telepathically communicated to me as her brother. Typically, I am 'witness' in these dreams. The female figure was hidden and I was lifted in the dream high in the sky. I was then instructed by a flying, platinum-haired androgynous creature to "find the girl" and "remember the name." A very vivid imagery appeared in 2011 where I am both witness and participant in the dream. I am clawing my way up a beautiful grassy hill, suddenly I feel a different texture beneath my fingers. I look up to see a woman in pale purple. She had thick, long white hair and silver-blue eyes. My immediate reaction, despite logic was to exclaim: "Oh my god, its me!"

I cannot directly say exactly what your dreams of white-haired figures mean for you as the symbols may relate quite differently. For the sake of space I've left out many details and many more dreams of these etherial people. My personal interpretations are that it relates to connecting to deeper, spiritual aspects of myself. There seems to be a call for me to dig deeper, reveal something that I am unaware of and embrace aspects of myself that are completely new to me. In some cases, these people are telling me to come and see them so that they can "clear my eyes" (Dream Title: The Optometrist.) It should have dawned on me to look for others that may have been encountering similar dreams. I was quite excited to see someone else was having dreams of white-haired people. The question I'd be interested in is have you been experiencing what some may call spiritual awakenings or even paranormal kinds of activity? My reason for asking is that "strange" things seemed to have been occurring either before or directly after these intense dreams. I look forward to more reading.

Okey. So my grandmother dreamed about me. And in her dream i haved white hair. So what does its means?

Thanks.

Since it was your grandmother's dream she would be best to ask,  for her interpretation of it, and what the scenario was and her thoughts and feelings towards the dream. What was her take on her dream of your white hair?
