Mourning the Faerie King

During the heat

of Summer’s passion,

all kinds of people

relish in its beauty;

frolicking in the fields,

or splashing in the

warm waters of

creeks and springs.

But we mortals

know not of the

kind joy,

going on in the

realms of the unseen;

during this

magical time

of the Year.

Oberon is long since

dead, the once Great King

of the Faerie Realm;

but his Kingdom lives

on in all kinds of waters,

flames and even the ground

underneath us.

If only in the glory

of our expansive

imagination.
