Some comments from Calgarians about Bush's visit some are silly some are pretty good, it's a little long but hey I thought it was interesting. This youtube was done by students so ya it gets a bit corny LOL Skip to the last 5 min if you want it gets funny weird and embarrassing lol

I really don't think Calgary is a all that friendly, however Alberta oil and Canadian banks seem to like him hmmmmm

Ok I was going to lay off of Bush LOL that sounds funny. However this is my home town and he p***ed me off as he blocked a main road and I was late getting home and having my St Paddy's beer errrrrrr LOL

Thanks for this post. I wish now i had been downtown to see all this. Today was even my day off. Iv'e been busy with computer stuff and not watching the news. I looked at all the links and read the articles. Then i watched the news on TV.

I wouldn't have protested down there. I dont know enough of politics to know were i stand, but it did seem wrong to go into Iraq under the false supposition that there were weapons of mass destruction. Im puzzled as to the real reason why he went into Iraq though. But him visiting Alberta and next Condoleezza Rice makes me think maybe it was about the oil in some way.

I think he's trying to build up funds for his future legal needs.

He comes from a family with nearly endless power and wealth... He doesn't need money.

===

Aside from all this yeah a lot of people don't like Bush but who cares he's not president anymore. Protesting and b****ing is pointless.

Oh, come on: he comes from a rich family sure enough, but there's no reason to throw him into some bizarre conspiracy theory netherworld of fictional super power and infinite wealth. I mean, apparently he can't even buy the friendship of other oil-rich cowboys.

(Not that all people in Calgary are, but there are some!)

When you're hated by a bunch of anti-American far lefties, you know you're a good guy. :tsu:

Well he's set to make a mint off the public speaking circuit, and there's already strong interest down under for him to tour so that should happen relatively soon. I personally would find it fascinating to hear any former head of state speak, especially a former US president.

I'm not throwing him into some fictional character.... The Bush's have serious government and industrial connections between all the kids and the parents their probably worth few billion. You think just because Bush was a lousy president that he still don't have friends in high places. He is an establishment guy.

In all honesty people paint the 'dumb' image of the guy but I think he's smart. Not a good public speaker mind you but he's not an idiot by a long shot.

There is no bizarre conspiracy theory here other then even if he is investigate charges won't be laid and he will walk away without a scratch.

The Bush's don't have super power but they have power, Jeb, Dubya, and Herb all have both government connections and they also have lot of money and corporate ties. Compared to almost any other family they do have near unlimited power and pull and this is why nothing will ever happen.

When you're hated by a bunch of anti-American far lefties, you know you're a good guy.

Actually Alberta is very pro US... Of course you would know this if you've ever been to Canada.

Pro US or not though we got the shaft from Bush who left office owing us billions, and trying to screw some of our industries by blocking imports of certain goods.... We're good to the US allowing them access to cheap natural resources that you don't have enough of to go around. I hope you can understand why we hate the guy... It's not a swipe against the US it's just our anger of being ****ed up the *ss with out Vaseline by the guy.

Funny video, but just further proof that Bush is hated around the world, not just in the US ^_^

You'll find that most Westerners who hate Bush are lefties who have not been affected personally by Bush or his foreign policy. Just useful idiots for the far left.

Funny how Bush has amazing approval ratings in Columbia, Eastern Europe, Africa, India, South Korea and Taiwan.

Do you have proof to back that statement up or is that something you heard on Fox news  ??

What about your proof? Whoever told you that the Liberals, Socialist and terrorist actually speaks for the world?

No, I asked for proof of you're hero George Bush having a high approval rating in all those Countries you just listed. I doubt the validity of that claim so I asked if you had any proof to back up it up, or is it something you heard on Fox news this morning since you seem to be such an avid viewer based on some of the other right wing, nonsense post I've seen you make on these forums? ;)

Where exactly is "Columbia"?

Do you mean DC in the US or the country /Colombia/?

If you're trying to make a point about being knowledgeable of other countries and their political attitudes, it'd help if you knew how to spell them. Otherwise it's hard to keep up the pretense.

Well you should have stopped in and had a beer with 'ol George, it was only $400 a plate. I wonder what kind of beer they serve with that? (not green I bet)

Africa is obvious (Bush definitively helped the continent in various ways). I can see India too, I'd need proof for the others.

Nice, putting an ideology followed by most of Europe among terrorists  . Go to Sweden or Norway for liberalism at its best

care to elaborate? I know it's common now that 'leftie' means someone who doesn't like Bush. How many times was I painted as one in this message board, despite showing appreciation for Ron Paul, sometimes bashing Obama, etc.

You don't know Canada very well and I bet you probably couldn't find Alberta on a map. It's bigger than most countries so it shouldn't be to hard ;)

Alberta is the Canadian version of Texas if there ever was one. We have a very conservative government here and Ralph Klien the former leader of the Progressive Conservative Party here in Alberta is a friend (not a close friend) I loved it when he was running the show here just loved it. You probably would have worshiped the dude as he was a huge fan of Bush as was our Priminister Stephan Harper. See you really don't have a grasp of really whats going on do you. You focus on one aspect and go for it tooth and nail with out really understanding what you throw out there.

I vote consevative almost everytime, not because I'm a Con but because I like there ideas and how they do things better imo. However saying that I think south of the border I would be labled a dem or lib what ever term you care to use.

I loved the protesters throwing shows at Bush's picture, that was freakin funny. I'm still ticked that I had to wait for bush to drive by befor I could go for a beer :P

As far as forking out $ 450.00 to see him, I kinda regret I didn't go really. I wear size 10 :w00t:
